I am not much of a reviewer but when I was looking for merino underwear I saw the Ortovox 185 Rock n Wool hot pant and had to buy unreviewed so thought I had better step up.
They arrive packaged in a box. On opening I loved the color - I purchased past season turquoise (aqua) with an orange waist band. I hand washed in cold. They dried over night and I wore them the next day. They are really comfortable, I forget I am wearing them.
Seams and stitching seem solid but it is early days.
The rise is approx 9â inches. I usually wear a 6 or medium in cotton panties (Hanes and such) and these size comparably. I purchased 2 pairs but because the leg opening after hand washing was a little wide and exposing too much I was only going to keep the one pair. However I washed them in warm regular cycle in the machine and they tightened up so now I am keeping both pair. I have not put them in the dryer... yet - label says not to.
I have added a pic and the Color is off as they are newly washed. My hips are 39 inches. The waist on pants stretches up to about 32 inches if needed. Unstretched they are 26 inches. The wide elastic waist band wears well and does not bend, twist or do anything irritating.
So they are comfortable, odor free, no annoying seams in bad places (the seams run around the front and back of the crotch) which means there are no seams to torture you when involved in bike riding, horse riding or other active sports.
I am really pleased with them. They are ridiculously expensive - even on sale - but I am impressed so far.
