Oops, not winter tights at all

I should have read the details about the fabrics in these tights more carefully. No description anywhere, even on Ortovox's site, really has much information about what season/purpose these tights are for. I misunderstood these to be winter trail/road running tights, because of the "merino wool" component. I assumed they were ... wool throughout/wool-lined, combined with other materials. However, the wool is only in one strange place: the waistband. The rest of the tights, except knees which are double-fabric, are thin and some places (one pocket and behind the knees) are even perforated. The quality is stellar, they fit great, but the "Merino Tec" highlight in all the descriptions (here and everywhere else) is deceiving. I did find on another site one photo of someone wearing a tee shirt with these - that is more in line with when/what these could be used for - spring or fall outdoor active pursuits. Not winter. I had to sadly return these.

It is my first tight from Ortovox. Love the design, color patches hit at the right spots. Dark wine color is beautiful. Haven?t tested it outdoor yet. 5?3, 105lb, size S, it fits me well. It is comfortable. Love the knee area are double layered, love the two large size pockets at the right positions. I bought it on sale. It should last for a couple of seasons.
