Our rental fleet probe of choice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The guide service I work with purchased a fleet of these to rent to our avalanche course students. 3 season of using them every weekend all winter long and they are holding up great. I am an Ortovox Ambassador.

    Probe

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Great light weight and durable probe. Very ease of use when needed to probe. Great addition to have in the back country.

    Good for probing

The perfect option. If you are a gram counter, you will already know you want a carbon probe. If you aren't, just get this one. It packs up nice, assembles easily, and does not come apart when probing. Not much else to ask for.
