Orange Seal's Rim Tape is available in two widths — 18mm and 24mm — which works to fit most bike rims. To ensure an airtight fit, Orange Seal's Rim Tape is slightly elastic so it closely follows different rim profiles.

    Does the job!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Needed to reseal my tubeless rim since I noticed it was losing air every other day, always having to refill it. With the new layer of tape I haven't had any issues with air leakage at all.

    Works great!

Need tubleless tape? This stuff rocks! Supper easy to install and it even comes with alcohol wipes to clean the inner surface of the rim. This tape is super durable. Works an all types of rims. I like this tape better than the other tapes out there because it lasts longer and sticks to the rim better. You can take on and off the tires with out ripping and pealing the tape up.

Tape tore when the bead seated.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

After wrapping a layer of Orange Seal tape on a Stan's Crest 26" rim, i installed a tube in a 2015 racing Ralph TL-easy tire, mounted it and inflated with a floor pump till the bead seated at about 45 psi. I used a tube to firmly press the tape onto the rim. After a while I removed the tire and tube. I found that when the bead seated it tore the tape. The holes in the tape were only where the bead had popped into place. Stans tape is thicker than the Orange tape. No comment on the performance of the Orange sealant as I didn't go any further.

Tape tore when the bead seated.

    Doesn't work w/ Stans rims

After finishing a wheel build on my rear wheel (which is a Stans Flow Ex) I had one of those moments where you've come so far, but still haven't finished because you need rim tape! Calling about 10 bike shops in town I could not find the 25mm stans rim tape I needed and settled w/ this 24 mm tape. It's easy to install and sticks well. After getting a flat on the Wasatch crest I put in a tube and about 5 mins later had another flat! I pulled out the tube looking for a pinch flat. Found a weird small little slash in two spots of the tube (wasn't a snake bite) and cleaned the area to put on 2 patches. I installed the tube and inflated w/ another CO2 and the tube didn't hold any air! How can that be? Took out the tube again and put in some air to find the hole and realized that there are many of these little slashes on the inside of the tube. I realized even w/ the tape around the rim that the spoke holes were abrasive enough to lash into the inner tube. If this is the kind of tape you have to wrap around 3 times count me out. I'll pay the same price for Gorilla tape which probably has 4-5 times the amount of tape and is thicker. I learned of the Gorilla tape after going to a local shop who has experienced the same problem w/ orange seal. This tape works tubeless, but as soon as you need to put in an inner tube you're gonna wish you had used some other tape.

    Easy upgrade

After searching for a easy inexpensive way to run tubeless the orange seal rim tape and sealant were the setup I chose. The rim tape was easy to install and the roll covers enough to cover two 700c tires easily with extra
