Optimus Terra Xpress HE Cook Set

For fleet-footed outdoor adventures, light is always right when it comes to cooking pots. The new, lightweight Terra Xpress Pot with a non-stick coating won’t load you down, but its large capacity means you can cook enough to stoke your fires for tomorrow’s peak-bagging scramble. Butterfly handles fold down snugly against the pot to eliminate the jigsaw puzzle in repacking, but promise stability when handling your hot meal. You can watch the pasta simmering (if you dare) with its handy see-through lid, and then drain off water with the built-in strainer too.

Nice little pot

I have used this pot a few times now and it has performed exactly as it was intended. I cooked some beef stew in it on one occasion and have used it a few times to boil water. It's nice and light, and I haven't had any issues with cleaning it or making room for it in my pack. My only wish is that it would be nice if the handles were about a half inch longer, but I feel like that might be nit picking a bit. It's a nice little pot that I hardly notice in my pack.

Must have for family backpacking!

With a family of five this was a must have to cook with the Elektra cooking system. We were able to whip up ramen for everyone in no time. The pot is light and easily fits in any backpack.

Catastrophic Failure

The non-stick coating peeled off after the first use, I just got it today. Didn't realize it until I cleaned the pot, so I definitely also unintentionally ate anti-stick material. Would not recommend this product.

Used this on a recent trip to on the Colorado trail. It was efficient transferring the heat from our optimus vega stove. Boil times were quick and it was the perfect size to boil enough water for two meals at a time.

Wonderful Pot for Solo or Dual Cooking!

This is an excellent pot. Graduated markings on the inside of the pot allow you to accurately measure the water you are adding to heat for specific recipes. Baffles on the bottom of the pot allow for faster heating of your water. In mild weather conditions, I can heat 10 ounces of water in about 90 seconds! The foldout / fold-in handles are amazing and the silicone coating keeps them cool to the touch. The nonstick surface on the inside of the pot makes clean-up a breeze, which is a really handy feature when cooking in the field and you just need cleanup to be a breeze. Inside of the pot, I can easily store my stove, provided windscreen, cleanup sponge, and lighter, allowing me to condense space inside my pack. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that I'd like to see the lid be locking to the pot and a bit more non-destructive. Perhaps a titanium lid with vents / sight glass. Other than that, this is a pot that if you buy, you will not be disappointed.
