Hiapo Flip Flop

weird placement of rubber "pods"

I received these as a gift. They are absolutely beautiful to look at and the workmanship is excellent. Their downfall is the poor placement of the rubber "pods" on the soles. The ball of my foot lands in between two of the pods giving the sensation of always stepping on a crack. After wearing them all day, the ball of my foot felt bruised. I really wanted to like these sandals as they are works of art. If you value form over function they are five stars. If you believe form should follow function, one star.

Love is a pretty strong word, but these sandals are deserving of it. I love the way they fit and the way they make me feel (at the risk of sounding ridiculous, they make me feel a little classy and a little more refined than I really am). Hah! Though this is the first set of OluKai sandals I have ever owned, I am already certain I will purchase/own several pairs of OluKais over the course of my life. 5 stars, for sure.

Best Flip-Flop Out There

At the beginning of summer I was in need for some nice flip-flops I could really break in, bond with and love.... Traditionally I am size 11.5 (in Nike shoes) and went with a size 11 in the Rum/Dark Java combo - the sizing was PERFECT! Initially I was skeptic the size was too small, but after a full summer of use they are the best flip-flop I have every owned. Great arch support, quality leather design and make-up and one really cool designed foot bed of the flip-flop make these a pair that you will have for years to come. Fantastic investment and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I got these for my boyfriend and he says these sandals are super comfortable and high quality, but will take some time to break in. He usually wears a 11.5 and the size 12 fit him perfectly, so they do run a little small

I've had this sandals for over a year now and I can honestly say they are the most comfortable and best looking sandals I've ever owned, they just get better as they age, having said this, like everything else, you might have to break yours in if you're not use to sandals with a strap between your toes but once worn for a couple of days, you won't want to take them off, I wear mine all the time when at home and even to the market and small shores, they are up there in price but worth every penny, I will most likely buy me a second pair sooner than later, they do run a bit small but not much, just order one size up and enjoy, I would wear them to work if they let me..

Keep in mind gentlemen this runs small. I purchased these for Fathers Day and they were two sizes smaller than his other Olukai's. They are beautifully crafted and very comfortable but fell short, literally in length. I'm grabbing the next size up of course. Men don't ever ask for things but these were requested. Olukai makes impressive footwear and it's hard to beat the reputable company with what they provide as far as footwear that lasts. If you want comfort mixed with a nice touch of style, then these sandals are for you. Go out on the town, or spend time out on the beach basking in the sun in style. I promise your feet will love you for it. I sized up because I am a half size and the 10 would not have worked at all.

I got these because I needed a pair of nice sandals for a friend's wedding in Kauai. They certainly look great, but the first day I wore them walking around all day I got horrible blisters on the top of my foot (from the strap) by my pinky toe. That said, once they're broken in they're pretty damn comfy.

This an extremely well made product. Once they mold to your feet they are as comfortable as the day is long. These sandals are very flexible from a fashion standpoint. They can be worn out at the lake or out to dinner. In either case your lookin stylish and gettin compliments from the ladies...

Worth every penny sandal
These sandals are great. I have the women's and my husband loves the men's version. They are supper sturdy, comfortable, and supportive. Can walk for miles with them. Still hold up after getting wet.

I have a medium-wide foot. I tried a pair of these on in a store and it was difficult to slide my foot all the way in. Once on, the strap was pretty darn tight. Is there much give with the strap as the sandal breaks in????

If you are on the half size, I'd suggest sizing up. I am a 8.5 typically and wear a 9 in these.

Try using Saddle Soap for the cleaning. Might also want to rub them down with Mink Oil - this will def help them smell good. AND - I have found that the consistent use of Leather Lotion will do wonders with these. BTW - expect the leather to darken a little after the use of any cleaning product.
