Why We Like The Ocean Kayak Malibu Two XL Tandem Kayak
When taking our little paddler out on the water, we seat 'em in the center of the Ocean Kayak Malibu Two XL Tandem Kayak where they can paddle when they want and enjoy the view when they don't. We stash our soft cooler in the stern bungee system for a mid-lake picnic, and our sunscreen and hats in the bow bungee system for post-swim application. The bow and stern seats adjust to our preferred lean and can be removed and shifted for solo paddling missions.

Nice, solid kayak, plenty of room for 3
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Xl
We had an Ocean Malibu for 28 years. It was great but finally cracked in half after sitting in full sun on water (tied to dock between uses) all day each summer. Took plenty of use and abuse from kids. So we bought another Ocean kayak to replace it only went larger as we often wanted to squeeze 3 on the Malibu ( and did, but not comfortably). The Malibu xl looks and feels significantly bigger, is much more stable side to side, hard to tip. Has nice waterproof storage wells, good from and back storage for towels under crisscrossed bungees. It’s heavier but we don’t care cuz we only carry it twice a year, to put in and out of water and still not too heavy for two people to carry. The only negative is that I wish the seat backs would stay up (the are hinged). One can be made to stay up with the hooked black bungees on back of it, the other we had to get some rope and tie it back to the side handles. Nice seaglass color.
