I work outside and wear these everyday! Another great Oboz product. They are true to size like my other Onoz footwear. I work in wet conditions and my feet stay dry and they clean up nicely as well. A very comfortable boot for everyday use.

Beautiful boot, too tight in toes

I have narrow heels/ankles and wide squared off toes. I'm a size 10.5-11 in most athletic shoes and 11 in hiking boots, occasionally an 11.5. I've owned the Bridger in 11 wide and they ended up being too tight in the toes so I bought these in 11.5 after hearing they run small, hoping for the best. The boots arrived today and I tried them on - they're a gorgeous boot, definitely a little stiff out of the box but it's due to the quality leather used and that will loosen with wear. The fit around the ankle and heel is great. They're definitely a 1/2 size short so the 11.5 fits like my Keen Durand in 11. But the toes... too tight. The toe-box is both low volume and narrow. I swapped out the insole (which is great but really thick) for a thinner one and it improved things a bit but not enough. I'm debating ordering a size 12 since I love the boots so much, but they will probably still be a little tight in the toes, a bit too long, and a little loose in the heel/ankle once they break in. My experience with boots that are too tight in the toes is that they never get better, even for leather. Often I find they get a little worse with time as the toe begins to spring upwards more. I've tried the Oboz bridger in the 11.5 wide and those are better, but still unnecessarily snug. I wish boot manufacturers would actually make foot shaped boots. Simply making them wider or higher volume doesn't help when the toe-box forms a ballerina point, and expecting people to go up sizes means a bad fit elsewhere. If these had a proper toe-box they'd be 5 star. Even keen toes are often too narrow for me. On a separate note, some reviews out there have found issues with lace hooks bending, but others seem fine so maybe a bad batch? The hooks on mine seem quite sturdy, it would take a lot of force to bend them.

Returning these boots the first time sucked.. returning them the second time broke my heart. These boots are BEAUTIFUL, comfortable, and the sole was going to last me YEARS. I wear my oboz everyday; I work at a warehouse, I live in small town country, and thanks to oboz I only have to have two pair of shoes.. my house shoes being the second! Other than that you cannot catch me without my oboz on. BUT, the absolute FATAL flaw of these boots.... are the lace eyelets. THREE LITERAL DAYS after I purchased these $240(!!!) boots the bottom eyelet popped out (see photo) so I replaced them. The second pair? Lasted a week before three more eyelets popped out and one of them being THE TOP FREAKING ONE. YOU CANT FREAKING WEAR BOOTS IF YOU CANT LACE THEM UP. The metal of these eyelets are so weak it’s embarrassing. I WASNT EVEN LACING THEM TIGHT. AT ALL. Three days?! Are you serious??? :(

Center buckles bent after first use and tore completely off 6 months in. Sole separated from leather at toes even with consistent leather maintenance. Took 6 months to break in and they were ruined by then.

Now that I have used it more, this is a great boot, the fit is off the charts. Love the low volume heel. And there isnt any pressure points on my ankles. Great Boot.
