Find your zen.
Trekking down a trail for a few days takes you to a place of solace few other activities can match. Get there in the Oboz Men's Wind River III B-Dry Backpacking Boot, and arrive with your foot ready to take on the next day. A waterproof, breathable, B-Dry membrane seals out moisture from rain or puddles without sealing in your sweat. This boot boasts an asymmetrical chassis that helps your ankle resist rolling without limiting the flexibility of the boot where you need it. An EVA midsole absorbs the additional impact of your loaded pack coming down on your foot, minimizing energy loss so you can keep crushing miles on the trail. The Wind River outsole is not only grippy on all sorts of terrain, but it's also based on a topo map of the Wind River mountain range which makes it that much cooler.

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. This was my first pair of full boot hiking boots. I have been using mid boots in the past for backpacking. Let me tell you these Boots are tough and nails. I felt like I could walk through anything with them. I have been wearing them this spring up in the Wasatch and I never had to worry about rolling my ankle or hitting my foot on anything. They are very durable. After about 25 miles they still look brand new. I think they actually look better in Real life than they do in the pictures. The only negative I have found with these boots is they take awhile to break in. They were extremely stiff for the first couple of uses. They did loosen up and they are comfortable now but I was starting to worry if they would ever soften up. They run true to size in length but I did find them to be slightly narrow. Overall i would recommend this boot if you need something that is heavy duty with great traction. If you need ankle support this is the boot for you. If you are looking for something lightweight you may want to look elsewhere.
