With rugged performance and all-day comfort, the Oboz Sawtooth II Mid B-Dry Hiking Boot is ready for all of our rocky day summits and week-long trails through the backcountry. Built with a waterproof membrane, this hiker promises us dry socks no matter how many rainstorms we encounter on our adventure.
Rugged nubuck leather ensures comfort and durability, while the moisture-wicking mesh lining keeps things breathable and sweat-free on warmer outings. Low-density EVA pods and a high-density EVA sculpted arch work together in the proprietary insole to promote a neutral foot position and add cushioned comfort when scrambling over boulders and scree fields. Oboz gave this boot a similarly named Sawtooth rubber outsole with grippy sidewall lugs to chew up loose and muddy terrain without any added bulk.

Love Boots, But Toe Shield Fail Bummer

Let me lead with the positives. I'm in my mid-50s and have worn Keens for what seems like several decades. I wanted to try a different brand with some ankle support...you know, because I"m old and the legs and ankles get kinda cranky once in a while.. I did buy these with a discount in Sept. These boots required almost NO break in period whatsoever. Made me very happy. Laces stay tied. Good grip on loose gravel and rocks. I'm a casual hiker. Husband and I do day hiking in mountains of AZ, MT, UT, etc. What little breaking in was done on walks on country roads in Southern Indiana for a few weeks. Nothing grueling on the shoes, that's for sure. While hiking in AZ (Tonto-Peralta Trail) I looked down and noticed the toe bumper/shield was coming apart. It was a real bummer. I don't want to return the shoes because (other than the toe failure) they are great boots!

It's perfect but not for me
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The first time I tried it was an easy hike with several climbs. They hold the ankle perfectly and I felt comfortable. As I climbed, I noticed that there was too much space in my boots for my heels. The boots began to rub the blisters. I tried wearing them on several different hikes, but it happened all the time. Basically, I have a frequent problem with shoes because my feet are quite narrow. I gave these boots to my mom, we have the same size, but her feet are a little wider and for her this is amazing boots.
