Why We Like The Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoes

When we're looking to balance the rugged performance of a hiking boot with the low profile of a hiking tennie, the Oboz Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoes stand out to us as a great compromise. They're breathable, waterproof, and built on an aggressive sole that bites into everything from packed-out trails below treeline to rocky alpine routes that cross sections of scree followed by wet and soggy meadows. Oboz added plenty of cushioning in the form of a dual-density midsole to support your feet over miles of rough and rugged terrain, then added a nylon shank for stability when the angle of ascent turns steep.

Great for rocky hiking!

I bought this for a trip to Maine because I had worn out my old pair of hiking shoes. These were great! They were comfortable to wear on a long hike and they had great traction on wet rocks. I felt very sure on my feet the entire time. They have good arch support too, which is often a problem in other hiking shoes. This is my first pair from this company and I have been quite happy with my purchase thus far. Oh BTW...I bought the Pale Moss color and like it a lot. If you like to wear fun colors, it's definitely the way to go.

I love my Oboz hiking boots! These have been my go-to hiking boots for years. They are build to go for miles and they give me the support and protection my feet need on the trail. The outsole has great traction and I've never had any issues with the waterproofing. If you are looking for a solid hiking shoe - I'd highly recommend this shoe!

So narrow, footbed literally doesn't bend at all. It's like walking on a brick. Maybe I got a pair of lemons, but there is no way I could walk a mile in these, let alone climb a 14er. Very disappointed after all the good reviews. They're going back.

Just got my new Sawtooth low bdry and I love them as much as ever. I did need a half size larger than I used to take in Oboz however. I got a pair of Bridger mid high in the spring and this was the case as well, needed a half size larger. This time I ordered two pair, a 9.5 , my usual size, and a 10. Sure enough the size 10 is just right. Don't know if my foot has changed or if the shape is a bit different since my last new Oboz, which has been a few years. Nonetheless, I just love the fit of Oboz. I have troublesome feet, narrow with ever growing bunions and little natural arch and I do a LOT of walking/hiking so it's hard to find the right shoe for support and comfort. Oboz hits it right every time. They are the ONLY shoe I wear in which I DO NOT have to swap out the innersole immediately for Superfeet, and this includes Eccos. Because I crave the firm support that Oboz gives, they feel wonderful straight out of the box. They last me for years despite almost constant wear so I don't swap them out as often as i might. It's great to have a new pair! Thank you Oboz and thanks to Backcountry for a great experience. I'll shop with you again.

I love these shoes and hiked with a pair for 3 years but when I ordered new ones the 8 was too small and the 8 1/2 was too big so I had to order Merrill’s which are true to size. The heels in particular were too narrow and caused me to get a blister after only 10 minutes in the house. It’s too bad because they have far better traction and are a solid hiking shoe. I’m wondering if they changed the shape from a few years ago.
