Why We Like The Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Boot
Our favorite trails are waiting, and not even the trickiest terrain is off-limits when we're equipped with the Oboz Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Boot. This rugged hiking shoe was built with waterproof leather uppers to conquer wet and muddy trails, and a burly outsole to conquer everything else. While these tough uppers are defending against rough trails, the rubber traction underneath is designed to tackle the most challenging routes. Sidewall lugs grip off-camber trails, while the Sawtooth pattern provides intense traction that naturally sheds mud.

- I've used it several times
I've had this shoe for a couple of months now and I feel like I'm still breaking it in. It is a very stiff shoe. I've never worn this brand before but am trying it because it is hard to find this style of shoe with a wide toe box. The construction is very sound. Don't think I'll be wearing it out anytime soon. I usually wear a women's 7 - 7.5 and in this shoe I ordered a 7.5W and it fits true as far as the length. I could use a bit more width but it'll work with thinner socks.

New Sawtooth 2! Whats different?
The sawtooth 2 has been redone.... A little... In the best of ways. Everything you still love about the sawtooth is still there. The best out of the box support of any brand, nubuck leather upper, wider in the forefoot, narrower in the heel (fits the same as the old sawtooth) but some things have changed... For the better! 1st- Oboz addressed the issue that some customers were being rubbed wrong on the ankle bone. So they lowered the cuff height (on men's and women's models). They also have a more malleable mesh on the cuff now instead of leather so it will break in much easier and form to the ankle bone a bit more than the previous generation of sawtooth. 2nd- They reimagined the heel counter. It comes further forward than the sawtooth I. This means more structure, support and overall confidence on the trail. 3rd- More aesthetic than anything, the sawtooth lost a few of the "windows" on the side of the shoe but the windows were made larger. This means more ventilation when charging up or down the mountain. These are the biggest difference from Sawtooth I to Sawtooth II. Overall the change is welcomed and its a refresher no one thought the sawtooth needed until they tried on the new an improved version. Get some and see for yourself. Oh and the price didn't change. A welcomed affirmation from Oboz that they are about getting shoes on peoples feet and getting outside, not reaching into their wallets.
