The Oboz Sapphire Mid B-Dry Hiking Boot is for taking slow mornings exploring the lush countryside. We stand protected against the chance of rain with the B-Dry waterproof membrane that works to repel moisture on the outside while also being quick-drying on the inside so you stay dry while you hike. It's crafted with a women's specific last and thoughtfully designed insole that targets EVA cushioning to give high-density support in the arch for a neutral position and a deep heel cup for enhanced support. Taking to Iceland next week. They are lightweight and very comfortable. I sized up a half size for thicker socks.

First, these are the most attractive hiking boots I've ever had! Below it says huckleberry, but I actually got java. I ordered a size 9, and I usually wear an 8 or 8.5, and the fit is perfect. The arch support and heel width is great. I did have some trouble with the toe box being a bit small. I wore them around on short walks, but I was still having problems. The right boot was the worst, but I finally solved the problem by stuffing newspaper into the toe section, laying a damp cloth across it, and blowing warm air with a blow dryer. I left the newspaper in overnight, and the next day it fit fine. I just stuffed newspaper into the left boot and left it overnight, and all problems were solved. I went on my first real hike with them yesterday with no problems at all. They are waterproof so far.

I love these Sapphire Mid boots! I tried on the blue/purple ones in size 9.5 but they were a little small and I wasn't crazy about the color either. I have the Oboz Sawtooth II Low in 9.5 and they fit great. The fit for the Sapphire Mid is a little smaller. I found these in the Java brown color, size 10 regular width at Backcountry.com. They fit great, a lot like my Sawtooth Lows size 9.5. I love the brown/turquoise color!!! I wear a size 9.5-10 in running shoes and a 8.5-9 in street shoes. I recommend sizing up with these especially if you will be descending a lot to prevent toe bang. These feel great right out of the box. Being waterproof, of course they don't breathe as well as my Sawtooth Lows (ventilated), but I wanted a sturdier, lightweight boot with good ankle support that locks my heel in place. These also have more toe room than my Sawtooths. I got these because I rolled my ankle on a small rock and fell wearing my Sawtooth Lows. It wasn't that bad, but it scared me, and I wanted to add a boot with good ankle protection, but less burly than the Sawtooth Mids or Bridger Mids. These are great and so cute!!! It is easy to adjust the ankle to being really tight and locked in to looser, but still with a good, snug heel fit. I have pretty long legs (33 - 34" inseam) and these do not bother my Achilles. I'll use both these and my Sawtooth Lows for my upcoming 3-week camping and day-hiking trip to Colorado and Utah. They are both really comfortable. Oboz fit my feet really well! I also love that my Sawtooth Lows have 6 eyelets instead of 5 found on many low hiking shoes.

First of all, I do not believe I will buy any outdoorsy shoes anywhere else, ever! BackCountry.com is great, they have a wonderful supply of hiking boots, and all kinds of additional outdoorsy gear, and then some. They have people that answer the phones right away and I love this about BackCountry.com! On to the Oboz Sapphire Mid B-Dry Hiking Boots: Second of all, I could not understand why anyone would want or need hiking boots, when my old running shoes have sufficed in the past. Oh my gosh!!! What a difference the right shoe/boot makes. Oboz are wonderful, pretty much out of the box and adapt to your feet the more steps you take. Every step you take is secure, and the ankle support is exceptional. The way the boot is made provides great stability and a great heel to toe movement that not only helps your stride, but you can feel your smaller muscles being exercised in different areas, too. I hike a lot of hills where I live and am so very glad I found these boots, as well as this company to purchase them from. Today I was up a hill, in gravel, mud, asphalt and grass, and I felt so good with these boots! I hope you will give them a try as they are great boots, and they are really cute and feminine too!
