The molded toe cap and heel kick assure extra protection, while the dual-density EVA midsole, TPU chassis, and nylon shank provide stability, shock attenuation, and trek-long support. Great winter traction

I really appreciate the winter traction of these boots. The special rubber compound seems to really work. These boots are very form fitting for me, and almost feel like ski boots. UNFORTUNATELY they are very stiff like ski boots as well. They just don't have much flex at all in the sole. The foot is kind of locked in so that energy is not transferred that well as you step from heel to forefoot. I still like them a lot, I just won't use them for long-distance hiking. But for daily winter use, they are great.
