Sizing is crazy!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
M

My son is 9 and average height/weight for that size. I ordered both a S & M to compare sizing. Putting them side by side, there should be a size between the two! The M, we had to cinch the straps pretty small and roll the cuff under so they?re not dragging. In the Small, they were tight in the seat and waist, and would have been room to let out the cuff seam now to fit currently, but not for next year. So he?ll probably get two seasons out of this pant, unless he has a ridiculous growth spurt!
