With these sunglasses, you'll be the real winner.

You don't need to be riding through the Pyrenees or wearing a yellow jersey to appreciate the superior optics and performance of the Oakley TDF Jawbreaker Prizm Sunglasses. The result of a 40 year heritage of uncompromising excellence, the TDF Jawbreaker is the pinnacle of performance for athletes who demand the best.

They feature a Prizm Road polarized lens, which displays the world in crisper, more vivid colors and maximizes contrast while also eliminating glare. Switchlock technology features a simple switch mechanism that allows you to quickly exchange lenses so you can stay one step ahead of changing light conditions. Stress-resistant and subtly flexible O-Matter keeps the frame lightweight, yet durable, and surge ports in the frame allow cooling air to flow through for comfort and fog-free vision. Unobtanium earsocks and nose pads get even tackier when wet, ensuring your shades stay in place even when you're sweating bullets or riding in a rainstorm.

Without a doubt, the best sunglasses

These sunglasses are a game changer. The prizm road polarized lens is amazing for varying light conditions and the fit is phenomenal in keeping air, rain and other particles out of my eyes. I highly recommend these sunglasses.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Can't say enough great things about the Oakley Jawbreaker cycling glasses, they are very well thought out. First, the open frame design affords riders a great view of the road, especially when in the tuck position where other glasses obscure vision with the frames. The large lenses do a great job of protecting your eyes both from debris and from sun light. They fit close to the face so sunlight reflected off the road doesn't slip past. Despite their size, they vent extremely well. How many times have you hit a big hill climb only to have your glasses start fogging up from heat and sweat accumulating behind the lens? Not a problem for the Jawbreakers. Don't let their size fool you. I've had no problem with the glasses moving around on my face, even while wearing headphones that go around the back of the ear. The nose piece does a great job of keeping the frames in place and also acts as a lever for the interchangeable lens system. The interchangeable lens system is simple and elegant which actually encourages you to pickup different lenses for various conditions. These glasses are part of my cycling essentials and I have two pairs now.

There's a reason the pros wear these

Nearly a year later and I'm able to make an addendum to my previous post. I've now expanded my cycling into mountain biking, and I use these glasses for that riding as well. However, MTB has different dynamics that can affect performance, like slower speeds, debris off the trail, tree branches, and a lot more rough and tumble both on and off the bike.
Once again, these glasses are performing great. Even at the slower MTB speeds, the glasses don't fog up. This is especially noticeable here in the Northwest in the winter time. Climbing up hills gets you very warm and sweaty and the minute you stop, the glasses fog. But then start pedaling, even at slow climbing speeds, and they immediately clear the fog. Nice!
I also appreciate how well these glasses stay in place during heavy MTB riding with lots of bumps, jumps, and even falling off the bike (hey, I said I was new at this right?). I've never even thought about, "am I about to lose my glasses" while riding on the trail. They're that well planted on my face, even with a skull cap that keeps the temple bars from fitting over my ear. That solid fit helps maintain the close lens-to-face-fit I mentioned in my previous review. But instead of keeping reflected sunlight out of your eyes, the fit does a great job of keeping the trail out of your eyes. Which turns out to be a thing when you're descending steep single track at faster than sensible speeds.
Lastly, the Oakley Jawbreakers are holding up great. I change the lenses all the time (its so easy to do) and nothing is wearing out. Also, on the trails I get hit in the face with branches from time to time and not only do the glasses save my eyes, they don't even sustain any damage from impacts that often leave welts on my face.
So all in all, great glasses, worth every dime I spent on them. I continue to use the Oakley's for both road and trail and really couldn't ask for anything more. Happy trails!
