Drawstring Too Short

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Seems like a running issue: The drawstring is too short. The cover fits the cockpit on my Pelican Potomac 100ES great and will fit with the drawstring knotted at the very ends but it takes two people or a bunch of fiddling. I want to put this cover on by myself so I'm just buying 5/16" bungee cord to replace the drawstring with a decent length one that I can pull tight and tie.

Doesn't fit my Pelican Pioneer 100XR

I returned this product before using it

I purchased this cover in the universal plus size which is advertised for cockpit lengths 40"-57". My cockpit measures 48" x 25" so it was right in the middle of the plus size cover. After several attempts I was unable to stretch this cover the full length of my cockpit. I mean really stretching it to its limits with two people on a 90 degree day it was well short. Also, be aware that the shock cord internal to the out hem is not prevented from retracting inside the hem when stretching. I had to spend some time fishing it out in order to return the cover. The cover is very well made and of good quality but the advertised size is not correct.

I put the cover on my Jackson Tupelo 12 ft. today and it was a bear. I lost the drawstring in the cover cause there wasent a knot in the ends, so I pulled those out. Struggled with the install cause I'd newer done one before. Once I figured it out the fit was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT without the drawstring. This is the big one, the Super Stretch Universal PLUS.
