Why We Like The Heavy-Duty Bill's Bag

Since 1972, NRS has set the standard for premium whitewater gear that never sacrifices quality or durability, and in honor of NRS' legendary founder, Bill Parks, the company's Bill's Bag Dry Bag has continued the legacy of defining what quality means to the industry. From taking abuse on the river to keeping our gear dry while traveling the world, Bill's Bag is always there for us, enduring year after year.

Pretty much everything you could want in a dry bag, Bill's Bag is large enough to fit all of your gear for an extended multi-day trip, like the Grand Canyon or Salmon. And because it comes standard with padded shoulder straps and backpack harness, the hassle of long portages and inconvenient camp locations will be noticeably minimized, so you can spend more time playing bocce than hauling gear.

Heavy-Duty Is Right!

I've used it several times

This bag is a classic river rafting pack, I have used this on various trips down Utah rivers and also down the grand canyon. Its a solid bag! I love how spacious it is; it could fit all my clothes, sleeping bag, river costumes, toiletries, and more. I have never been worried about water entering the bag. As long as you seal it right, water stands no chance. I love the 4 buckles to help strap down and compact the bag, and the backpack carry is ever so handy! Don't forget to personalized your bag so you know which one is yours among the 20 dry bags at the end of the day!

An oldie but a goodie!

I've used it several times

This is one of the most classic river tripping dry bags out there, and for good reason. It's a simple, durable bag that will keep your gear dry through the gnarlist rapids. Backpack straps are comfortable enough for carrying up the campsite or slogging through a portage.

Big and Tough

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I took this dry bag down the Colorado River, and it performed perfectly. There is so much storage inside and it's remarkably easy to access and easy to carry. The roll-up top was really easy to use as well. Though I didnt do anything crazy with the dry bag, the material feels incredibly strong and durable, and I had no worries about my gear when it was in the dry bag.

Burly boy

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I took this fasting and fit - tent, clothes, dishware, underwear/socks, books, sleeping pad/bag/pillow, wetsuit, PFD, you name it. I could have fit myself in it had I wanted to. I took this down the Yampa river and note once did any of my things get wet. It did it's job perfectly. I also enjoyed how easy it was to adjust and fit the fasteners into their respective loops. It's a burly thing and will keep your gear dry and safe. The backpack straps are wonderful and make it easy to carry. It's also easy to attach locking carabiners onto them as well.

Dry Luggage

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My use case may be a little different than other folks. I was driving down to Moab on a very wet day and my truck was full of people. The only place for luggage was the back of my truck and I have no cover. It rained for the full 3 hour drive and when we arrived at the AirBnB everything was dry. Really dry. Couldn't be happier. The bag is large enough that I packed in my regular duffel then threw it in the dry bag. Perfect!

Great for rafting or canyoneering

I've used it several times

I have used this bag for multiple river trips. I used it for a canoe river run in Desolation Canyon, a ducky run in the Salmon River, and for a canyoneering trip through Das Boot and the Subway slot canyons in Zion National park. All of my stuff stayed dry. I had my camera in there so I really couldn't afford to have it leak. It is also durable and will hold up well hiking even if it snags on branches or scrapes against tight slot canyons from time to time.

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

The title says it all. It is a very heavy duty dry bag. It isn't light, but that comes with the territory. This bag was perfect for my friends river trip in Southern Utah. It's big enough to hold everything one would need on a 7 day trip, and not have to worry about taking up too much space or anything inside getting wet.

I've used it several times

Bought this dry bag to hold all my Flyfishing gear on a recent trip to New Zealand, and serves double duty as our gear bag on our raft. It holds my 30" rod tubes, which is exactly what I was looking for. Removable backpack straps were priceless in carrying it around and when I forgot to take the straps off on our return trip, they survived the baggage handlers with no problems (and were still on the pack when I got it back from baggage claim). Wouldn't hesitate to buy this bag again. My only gripe is that the waterproof coating on the bag wore off in two spots where the rod tubes must've sandwiched the material between a conveyor belt. Not really a point to deduct a star since it was probably my own fault from how I loaded it. For the price, it can't be beat.
