    Great travel shirt

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 195lbs

I bought a couple of these for a 2 week trip to Africa. One thing I've always hated about merino t-shirts is the fit. The Norrona fits better than ice breaker for me. As with any merino shirt, you can wear this thing for days without worry of any odor build up. Great solid colors you can wear casually as well around town. Highly recommend, especially if you've had fit issues with other brands.

    comfortable and tough

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I decided to take a gamble on this wool t-shirt and i am happy that i did. It is super comfortable and love the way it feels, i bought it originally for the gym and to wear around town and love the way it feels. Them i was like what the hell let me try it to mountain bike and i was stunt how comfortable it still was, it does not feel clammy and remains cool. I actually crashed and landed on my shoulder and thought the t-shirt is done, big hole. Nada, nothing still like new. The only thing that i noticed is that you may need to be aware is that the size when it arrived was a little on the large size but after washing it a few time it shrunk a bit, now fit more like a true large. Over all great quality and high performnace.

    Tough, Stink Proof Shirt

February ice climbing in Colorado seemed an odd time to follow up on a friend’s recommendation to pick up a wool t-shirt, but after stinking out every base layer in the bag, I gave it a shot by ordering this one. It fit great, but I wanted to run it through its paces over the course of a week to see if it truly would not get stinky. Over the course of seven days, I skied, rock climbed, ice climbed, camped, snowshoed, hiked, and even slept every night in this shirt without washing it. It still did not stink at the end of it, and it kept its shape throughout. If washed properly, I expect it will hold up for a very long time. It’s a little annoying that it’s made in China given that part of the appeal of buying Norrona is the whole Norwegian heritage thing, but I don’t know if the Norwegians still know how to manufacture this kind of shirt at home. It doesn’t seem to be a price point issue because the Duckworth wool shirts are also good (maybe better, because they dry faster), are made in the US, and are similarly priced.
