Warm, warm, warm piece of undergarment
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
- Height: 6'2"
- Weight: 215lbs
I purchased these in the summer and didn't have a chance to use them. Well, it is 10 days away from winter and it got down to 37 deg. F this morning. All I wore outside was the Norrona 1 piece, a pair of jeans, and a hoodie. That's all! Cold never even came into play while wearing these undergarments. I could feel the air temperature, (which if your like me, you like it cold), but never suffered the chill of 37deg. I'm actually thinking about getting another 1 piece so that if I wore them both, I could only imagine the type of temperatures I might indure. Last year I went to Canaan Backcountry in 5 deg temp, had on full length heavy artic gear, and somewhat suffered for the amount of gear I had on. I'm thinking that dropping all that gear and doubling up on Norrona, I'll be agile as well as comfortably warm. I would definetely recommend this product!
Great for Hunting.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Height: 5'8"
- Weight: 174lbs
I bought this to use for hunting and it works great! It doesn't bunch up or bind and it kept me good and warm.
Athletic Fit one piece
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: large
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: 167lbs
I've worn this 4 days in a row through a storm cycle and with no odor issues. Its warm, comfortable, and very well designed. I will point out that it is an athletic fit. At 6'1" and 170 lbs it fits snugly but not skin tight in a size large. Its a great piece.
Fits small compared to size chart
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: S
- Height: 5'9"
- Weight: 170lbs
I bought the following to try them all out:
Airblaster - Merino Wool Ninja Suit (M)
Fits comfy, not too tight/big but it's pretty itchy. The 350 degree zip is noticeable just trying on the suit - not sure if it'd be noticeable once you're moving though.
Icebreaker - BodyFit 200 Zone One Sheep Suit (M)
Size is a little loose but overall really comfy. The material is not itchy and it looks like I'm in a wet-suit according to my wife.
Norrøna - Wool One-Piece Long Underwear (S)
Fits snug - should have gone w/a medium but the size chart indicates a M for me would work best. Material felt nice but I liked the Icebreaker more.
Patagonia - Capilene Thermal Weight One-Piece Suit (S)
Fits well (a little snug but not tight) but wasn't sold on the colour. The thumb hooks are very tiny and just not satisfying like a full thumb loop w/material over the knuckles.
Comfy all the time
I went with this base layer as the other one pieces were out in my size. I'm glad they were because I really love this piece. It is extremely well made like all Norrona product. Very comfortable and breathable, easy to zip, no itch.

Does this have a rear zip you can use to relieve yourself without having to get all the way out of this?
Yes, there a crescent zip around the backside from the right thigh up to the left hip.
