I am in love with this jacket. I was debating between Norrona and Arc'teryx.. and am very happy with my choice. So far I have worn this jacket on hikes through snow and insane winds and it has held up wonderfully. It has kept me warm and comfortable, but the pit-zips are great to cool me back down when I get a little too warm without having to fully remove the jacket.
I wore this on a backpacking trip summiting a 13,000' peak, and the winds were minimum 60mph... probably closer to 80. With this jacket I only had a baselayer long sleeve shirt on underneath despite the ambient temp being about 20F, not sure how cold it was with the wind chill! I made it to the summit plenty warm with my face fully protected by the large hood to minimize the wind burn... and kept it on all the way back down to the base just by unzipping the vents.
I have only worn this about a month so far, but it still looks brand new despite multiple trips out with a backpack. Taking it on my trip up Aconcagua next month and I'll post an updated review after that!
