Another bullseye for Norrona. This grid-fleece hoodie is warm, stretchy and super comfortable. An athletic fit will not cater to all tyoes, but for the long & lean like me its perfect. THe built-in face guard got me through 0-degree first chair outings at Sugarbush and Killington all winter, no feedback-goggle-fog and no nose icicles. Long in the sleeves so the thumb holes are truly useable, and it layers under or over anything with its slim profile but stretchy material. Bring me more like this Norrona!

You should stop reading this review and just buy one of these. I have been wearing the Lyngen Powerstretch Hoodie the last week in Colorado (temperature between -1F & 30F) under my Lofoton Gore-Tex Pro Jacket and absolutely love it! In the morning I would ride without the built-n face mask but in the afternoon, when the temp dropped and the wind picked up, the face mask was amazing. As opposed to other face masks, the Lyngen Hoodie does not feel like you are being suffocated and does not retain a lot of moisture given the size of the openings. The jacket has a bit of slim fit.

Great stuff

I'm loving my Norrona Lyngen hoodie. It's a perfect fit for my frame (6'3, 185, size L) and will serve me well on 40-50 degree winter runs. They did a great job of maintaining a stretchy slim fit, while also adding side zip pockets, that despite the slim fit, don't add any bulk or cause weird bunching. The chest pockets and elbow patches are pretty sweet. If there's a flaw to this jacket, it's that it doesn't have a slightly harder face, like the Arc'teryx Rho AR - also Polartec Powerstretch. I think the softer outer material on the Lyngen will pill over time. That said, I love this jacket...and may need to hit up another color.

Does the Lyngen have enough wind resistance to use as an outer shell for bike riding or cross-country skiing? I want a lot more wind resistance than fuzzy fleece, but super breathable. The test would be, can you put your mouth on the fabric and blow through it with maybe half the air blocked.
