Airy is an understatement.
The Norrona Men's Fjora Super Lightweight Short excels on the warmest rides where triple-digit readings and oppressive humidity threaten your plans for singletrack domination. As the airiest short in Norrona's line, the Fjora Super Lightweight Short features zippered vents running vertically down each leg to disperse perspiration and excess warmth. This means you'll stay pleasantly cool and comfortable, regardless of unrelenting summer heat trying to thwart your daily trail ride.
It employs a soft, stretchy fabric that breathes well while maximizing freedom and flex when you're slaloming down twisting sections of singletrack and pummeling across rock gardens. The Custom-fit waist secures the fit and feel, so it's not annoyingly sliding down when you're pumping and pedaling at a brisk pace. For added convenience, there's a handy zip pocket for storing trail snacks and small tools, as well as a sunglasses wipe for cleaning smudged shades.

These things are certainly unique. At first they look mega weird, and the seam on the front felt a bit weird. But then I zipped those babies open, and it fans open into a super nice laser-cut ventilation panel. with that vent panel open they fit me perfect (fit was very snug zipped up) and the lumpy seem vanishes. Between that and the super light material these things keep you fairly cool out there. For that reason these are incredible summer riding shorts, but I would not recommend for cold weather riding.
Other great features are a super aggressive amount of sticky rubber on the inside of the waist so they never move around, and a super well placed phone pocket that holds my iphone such that I can't feel it on my pedal stroke, and it doesn't bounce around on the trail.
All in all, these shorts have a very unique and thoughtful design that I think makes them worth the price, as long as your intended use is warm weather riding.
I'm a 34 waist and the Large fits perfect with just a notch or two of tightening on the waistband (which is also nice, locks into place and no sticky velcro to pull on your jersey).
