Awesome shorts - Thank you Norrona.

Sizing = I find all Norrona sizes to be a bit small by American standards. I am a large in everything American, but need and XL for tops and bottoms from Norrona. We are just not built like the Norse. And they run down past my knee cap. A little long for my preference but can live lwith it. Performance: They work well for climbing and riding. I like the right thigh pocket for my phone. They have adjustable waist straps so when I lose holiday weight, they can still fit. The fly zipper is really strong and tough. The pocket zippers are ok. The front thigh ventilation zippers really are more for decoration because they don't open much and still have fabric that does not circulate that well. Look = These look awesome. There are equivalent premium shorts from other manufacturers. But I buy Norrona products because they look super cool and no one else has them. For that exclusivity, I am willing to pay a premium. This is my first Norrona product and it is a quality piece. I've worn these on a few bike trips, usually I wear a padded short under these and depending on weather, a pair of longer cycling tights. I can easily keep my phone in the side pocket and a powerbar or snacks in the 2 side pockets without them getting in my way cycling. Also works great at this length with knee pads, I was worried about that but it's a non-issue. Dirt brushes off easy, water spray from my rear tire has not drenched my back as of yet so I'm very happy with these!

These shorts have more of a freeride cut with a length that will come down for most below the knee. They're comfortable with low profile knee pads. The side vents are great and downright necessary on warm days. There are lots of vented pockets too. Some could be bigger but I leave them open on warm days as well. The high back won't have you showing your crack either.

Pretty Rad!

I love 3/4 shorts or Shpants! Norrona is known for their bright outrageous colors and they did not disappoint with these shorts. They are pretty durable and have a gripped waist so they don't move at all while riding. They come with a high back waist as well so your jersey or shirt doesn't ride up and expose your back. The one thing that bothers me is the pockets are kind of strange if you are using them for general use. The top front pockets are very shallow and kind of silly in my opinion. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish, I'm sure they had their reasons however I just use them for casual use and some hiking.

This is the third year I will be using these primo shorts. I bought a black pair the first year, green the second and am getting blue ones this year. Like someone else said they are bomber. They do run small. I have 34

Fantastic shorts. Everything about these things says quality- from the zippers, to the bomber stitching, to the various material placed on different spots of the shorts. The only thing to be aware of, is that they definitely fit almost like a capri length pant. They are about halfway down my shin. If you like extra protection and burly shorts for cooler weather, these are your jam. If you want something thats lightweight and cool for hot weather riding, these may be a little warm and overkill.

excellent short. Right away you can see the quality, and the fabric is tough, will withstand crashes better than other shorts. I did notice it runs a bit narrower on the thighs compared to other shorts, but not enough to make me want to return them. I found them to be true to size, when compared to other MTB shorts. I got them large and pretty much fit like other large shorts I own (yeti padroni, royal matrix, royal drift, dakine syncline).

I'd say these run small based on the size chart offered. I usually wear 36x30 pants so I took a guess and ordered the Large. The size charts shows waist size 37.6 - 38.6 inches for a Large. They fit (meaning I could get them on), but they were much too snug for my comfort level, especially since I'd like to layer tights and/or bike shorts under them for winter riding. I exchanged them for the XL which felt much better. The size chart states 40.6 - 42.5 inches for the XL. Um, that doesn't sound right. I haven't ridden in them yet, but they are comfortable and look like they'll work well. They appear to be high quality so hopefully they will stand up to abuse. I intend on using them for cool to cold weather bike commuting in the winter. The hand pockets are a bit small, but at least they have pockets with zippers! The video that was offered helped sell the product...and of course the sale price. This is my first experience with this brand and I like their logo and product styling.

What is the inseam length? Knee length is not very descriptive. Also is it just me or does the green mamba pair not look as long?
