    Breathable and stretchy.

The Norrona Women's Falketind Flex1 Softshell Pants give your gams all-day comfort whether you're on a Randonee race, climbing a frozen waterfall, or bivvying on a big wall climb. These pants are Norrona's lightest Flex1 softshell pants. Flex1 softshell gets bathed with a DWR coating to offer your lower half breathable, weather-resistant protection. The fabric itself is supremely stretchy and smart about sweat so your legs rarely get tanked by a dark, dank feeling. The gaiter hook grabs ahold of your laces, and the ankles take a snappy approach to adjustability so you can secure these pants over your bulky mountaineering boots. Two angled hand pockets up front shouldn't harass your harness, and a single rear zipped pocket is a sassy place to stash post-climb beer cash.

    Very nice pant

I bought these as x-country ski pants but they would also work well as spring skiing alpine as well and hiking. The material is fairly lightweight. Well designed, flattering if a bit on the long side ( I am 5'8"). True to size otherwise. A little low waisted for me but I'm keeping them, I'll just compensate with my wooly underwear that actually goes to my waist. Belt loops are always appreciated even if I don't use them all the time. These pants can also go to town without looking like you are still in your ski clothes.

      Great pants!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: xs

I am impressed at how stylish and comfortable these are. I am so happy to find a true-to-size XS. I love these, and will use them on cross country ski tours.

      Great Pants

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: medium

This is my first Norrona purchase and it will not be my last! These pants are awesome. I got them for winter hiking and ice climbing. Unfortunately, I tore my ACL early in the season and have not been able to put them through the wringer.. yet. I can't wait to though! I have only had them out several times. They have repelled water and tears well. I snagged them a few times and you can't even tell. I love the fit and they look great. I was not sure on the sizing but ended up going with my normal size, "medium" and it was spot on. Love all the pockets and they stretch with you as you move. The waist adjust system works well though I usually wear a belt with them out of habit. Overall, I might even buy in another color.

      most incredible trousers

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These trousers are my favorite piece of outdoor clothing. I take them rock climbing, backcountry skiing, and resort skiing and on cooler hikes and treks. I wear a size 8-10 in pants, and the medium is perfect: comfortable with or without a pair of long underwear. They are a little smaller in the waist compared to other Norrona trousers I've tried, but the others are all too big for me in medium. The fabric is great, keeping me warm in the snow and wind but cool enough when it gets a bit warmer than expected. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear them, which doesn't hurt my feelings towards them either!
