If the 51-30 is a bit too big and the 42-20 is a bit too small, Nixon's all-new 48-20 Chrono Watch is juuuust right. The oversized-but-not-humongous stainless-steel casing encloses a custom six-hand Japanese quartz movement with an analog chronograph that's accurate down to a 20th of a second.

    • Six-hand Japanese Miyota quartz movement with second hand and date indicator
    • Analog chronograph includes seconds hand and 1/20 seconds hand
    • Stainless steel case rated to 200m water resistance
    • 21mm-wide micro-adjustable stainless steel band with double-locking clasp
    • IP-plated rotating external bezel with countdown indices
    • Item #NIX1912

I bought this for my son for college graduation, love the big face, looks exact to picture. It's light weight, looks really expensive and is good quality!!

    Perfect Size

I had been eyeing a 51-30 for a while, but I didn't know if I wanted something that big. I looked for a second at the 42-20, but it seemed a little small, like they tried to cram too many things into too small a case. I always wished they'd make something in a middle ground.

Then, a couple years ago, they did. The 48-20 is the perfect size. it's big without looking like you're wearing a wall clock on your wrist. It's super beefy and feels like I could run over it with a car and it wouldn't really care. The downside of that beefiness is that it's very heavy. Easily the heaviest watch I own. The band is high quality, but it's lightweight, so it sometimes feels like the big case is out of balance with the light band. It's a tiny qualm, but enough for me to give it 4 stars instead of 5. Still one of my favorite watches. Looks great!

    This ones just right....

If you have been wearing 5130's for the past couple years, and are looking for that next watch to add to the collection, need not look any further. The 4820 is slightly smaller than the 5130 and just looks "Proper". The Chrono dials are wide eyed and set differently than the 5130 Chrono so it looks quite a bit different than its brethren.
