    Faint TLS Snowboard Boot

Designed for hard-charging female riders, the Nitro Faint TLS Snowboard Boot boasts a responsive flex, ample cushioning, and all-amountain versatility, whether you're lapping the park or hiking to untouched pow stashes. TLS 5 Twin lacing lets you adjust the upper and lower zones of the boot with a quick pull of the handles, so you can dial in the perfect fit in seconds.

The Cloud 9 liner provides out-of-the-box comfort and a supportive feel, and it sports a high-loft fleece lining for added coziness. Speaking of warmth, new Therm-ic heating and the Therminator Shield under the liner reflects body heat back to your foot for warmth without bulk. There's also an Ortholite footbed for a snug, supportive fit. D30 dampening is soft under most conditions for a cushy feel, but it hardens up instantly upon impact to evenly distribute force so there's no painful pressure points. Air Dampening in the heel prevents bruised heels when you overshoot a jump. It's finished off with a rugged Vibram Icetrek sole for serious grip regardless of how cold or icy it is.

    The Worst!!

Dangerous boot. First day in this boot, I tore my plantar plate ligament, due to the D30 in the sole. Think about it, do you really want to land on something that hardens like cement on impact?
I’m trying to contact Nitro R&D to find out the reasoning behind this boot design. I returned boot right away, but am now injured because of it.

Yes, they’re warm and comfy, and if all you do is softly coast along mellow groomers., then you will probably be OK, but if you do anything where there will be impact, jumps, rails, back country kickers, etc. , don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I have a feeling these boots were not tested for such things.

I ride over 100 days a year, have worn many boots and never had this happen before. This was my first pair with D30 in sole.
      Not a coincidence IM0.

      Good boots! Size down!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These boots are comfortable, stylish and have the top technology for snowboarding boots! The vibram soles are awesome, did not slip at all! I would recommend sizing up half a size, I got my street size (size 6) and wish I would have gotten a 6.5. These boots are very snug and I do recommend getting them heat molded to assist with the breaking in period!

      Absolute Best

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have tried almost every boot out there.

I have very slim feet and sensitive. I like a tight boot that is like walking on a cloud.

Any questions about these? I am happy to answer.

      Absolute Best

Hey Jean, Its been years since I've used lace-up boots. Been in BOA land for a few years. So why these vs lace-ups. I currently ride Salomon boots. and they're pretty packed out, I ride mostly pow or soft snow freestyle in Japan. Tempted to get these.

Hey Jean! When you say you have slim feet, how slim is slim? I saw on another review that someone said these would be good for wider feet. I have very narrow feet, am currently in some Vans boots as they were the only boots I tried that were even remotely narrow enough. I am still dealing with my foot/heels moving around even with j bars and shims (is that the right word?) under my insoles. I am also still somewhat new to snowboarding, so I am not charging super hard yet- would these be too stiff for me? Thanks so much! It's hard to find reviews for this boot!

Hey, Jean! I have super narrow heels but wide toes. The only boots that have even somewhat worked for me so far are Nikes (but they stopped making snowboard boots) and Vans. Do you think these would work well for me? Thank you!

I saw on another review that these boots run wide. Any insight on that? Also, if it's really beefy, I'm worried about the fit in my Burton Genesis X bindings. Think it will be a problem?
