Sentinel 250 Tail Light
The Niterider Sentinel 250 Tail Light is a sound option to make yourself more visible to traffic in both day and nighttime conditions. With 7 different modes, you can choose the right setting for the conditions at hand to help you make it home safe.
There are two flash modes, the brightest of which is Daylight Visible Flash that projects the full 250 lumens, allowing you to be seen day or night. There are two steady-beam modes: High, which maximizes visibility, and Group Ride Mode, which reduces brightness for times when you have other cyclists in tow. There are three Laser Lane modes which project bright laser lines onto the ground, creating a virtual lane for the rider that further improves visibility.
An easy on/off seat post strap makes installation a breeze and lets you remove the tail light for charging, leaving the mount attached to the bike for convenience. A USB-rechargeable lithium-ion battery keeps things simple, and the charging cable is included.

Stay Away from NiteRider Taillights
- I've put it through the wringer
Over eight to ten years for two bikes, I purchased three or four NiteRider headlights and at least as many NiteRider taillights… based primarily on the tech specs. Early ones were not rechargeable, later ones rechargeable. Now questioning, er... abandoning, my brand loyalty. One taillight simply stopped working (Cherry Bomb), another had the clip mount crack off, and the most recent one never lived up to the charging specs out of the box and quickly got worse from there (Solas). I’m a pride-of-ownership kinda person, take care of my stuff, have been anything but “hard” on these lights, and they’ve been unsatisfactory. Without getting into the details, let’s just say my interaction with NiteRider customer support was less than satisfying. Zero, zip, nada appreciation for my loyalty. The OLED headlight still works fine after two seasons. But I’d steer as far away as I could from their taillights. Longevity sucks. I’m likely to opt for the Specialized Stix Elite 2 Taillight or the Lyzene Strip Drive Pro Tail Light to replace the latest NiteRider that broke.

- I've used it several times
I have been using this light during the daytime for a few weeks now. I tend to use the red oscillating mode. It is easy to use and seems quite sturdy. I do have to charge it after 3-4 hours use but it is easy to charge. I would recommend this tail light.

Great light option
- I've used it several times
Bought this for some early morning roadie expeditions. This is an awesome light, especially for the price. Battery life is better than expected, especially for how bright the light is. Highly recommend for a nice light to be seen by cars, and works great in the daytime too.
