Comes in handy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I like this little light. I attached it to my zipper at Burning man so I could easily access my bag on the go. I also attached it to the front of my bike as a marker to find it more easily out in the crowd. The plastic breaks easily so don't be too rough with it. Brighter than you might think, battery lasts a long time.

Neat product

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a large backyard and stubborn dogs who don't come when called. It's a good peace of mind to be able to see them with this light even though the yard is fenced. The light is very very easy to turn on, you just twist it. It works great for my 2 short haired dogs, but the light gets lost in my Samoyed's fluffy coat. It's nice that it's not bulky so it doesn't hang down too far on their collars.

Almost disposable

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this for my dog thinking it would be great for camping. It lasted 1 trip and fell apart. It was good while it lasted.

Absorbed Light

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used this illumination unit on both of my pets. They are visible at short distances but quickly fade into the darkness as they drift beyond my line of sight. One animal had quite long fur, which seemed to absorb much of the light given off by this unit.
I would recommend this to pet users who own very short-haired animals.

Not durable, but was great for a week

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just not durable enough. My 20lb heeler chihuahua mix broke this light hitting it into rocks. When it started to come apart that caught her attention so she chewed it which wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t already breaking. Bummer- I really liked the light for the week it lasted.

Perfect for camping with dogs

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is awesome. I have one for each of our dogs. Having 3 black dogs, it is easy to lose track of them at night while camping. These make them easy to spot so you aren't worried while hanging out around the campfire. I also use them on morning walks for added visibility.

Awesome light from Nite Ize

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This dog collar light is incredibly bright for how small it actually is. We used to have a larger light for our dogs collar that we would have to take off and on all the time, this one is small enough that we just leave it on all the time and always have it ready to go for nights out hiking and camping with the pup!

Light Me Up

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had an old Nite Ize dog light that you had to hold down to turn on. The twist on this one is so much easier. I go camping a lot and let my dog roam around at night. I love being able to spot him in the dark with this light.

The only downside is that it's pretty small and if it flips over you can't see it at all.

Not just for pets

I hang these from backpacks when giving as gifts, strong little light when you are in a pinch with a key & hole, coming out of the trails at dusk when you didn't plan. Just a little twist and taaadaaah!

    Nice Little Light

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

We'd gone through a bunch of lights from Amazon trying to see what would work for our dog but this one is winning on the longevity front.

All the others have ended up broken and not working after a few days. This one has lasted a fair amount of time.

The only thing that I don't love about the light is the plastic hook. I wish it were metal because each time I take the light off our dogs collar, it feels like I'm going to break the light. Other than that, its a nice little cost effective light that holds up pretty well.

    Small But Bright!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's very small but definitely bright for it's size. Happy with this and glad they are not too pricey in case I lose it due to how small it is. But rather it small so it doesn't bother the pup hanging from it's collar. Over happy with this and would buy again!

    Simple and effective

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Like other reviewers have noted, this is a tiny light. While that may not be everyone's taste, I've found it works great. The light might be small, but it makes seeing my boyfriend's pup running around on dark trails very easy, and because it's so small and light, we can keep it attached to her collar all the time so she's ready without driving her crazy. So far it's held up to sticks, branches, and snow like a champ.

    Safety First

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this light so that people driving at night could see my dog if we are crossing the street, and so that I can better keep tabs on her if we are hiking or camping at night. I've seen other versions something similar to this that are much brighter, but this will do for now. It is bright, and the twist to turn on function is nice. That being said, it is a bit small, so maybe better for a cat than a medium or large dog. All in all, it is a good idea and nice to own.

    Small and Bright!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

As the reviews below stated, the light is a little small, but still is bright enough to locate your pooch in the dark!

cool idea, a bit small for my taste

I've had a similar dog light that is actually larger in size. You'll want to be aware that this is a pretty small light. But it actually has a decent amount of brightness and they offer some fun designs as well. For the price, I still think it is worth it, especially if it gets you into that free shipping price range!

      Small size, serious light

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This thing is tiny, we're talking the size of the light itself is only the size of a dime. This tends to be a problem for people like me who can lose their wallet on a daily basis.

On the plus size, it puts out a really bright 'beacon' type of light. Very noticeable and easy to spot but not a lot of illumination. It's good enough that if I did lose it, I wouldn't hesitate to order another one.

      Small size, serious light

      Small and bright

This light is smaller than I had anticipated, but that's a good thing. It's the size of what you might imagine a bell on a collar for a cat might look like.

Plenty bright, twists on and off, low impact for pets to wear around their necks or whatever else you can think of to put this on.
