RDO Carbon Seatpost
The Niner RDO Carbon Seatpost reduces harsh vibration when you're cruising over rough terrain, thanks to what Niner dubs an "Unstiff" carbon layup. Whether you're riding a hardtail or full-suspension rig, it's designed to deflect up to twice as much shock and vibration feedback compared to regular post designs, smoothing out bumps and rocky trails for less fatigue. Note that this zero-offset post comes with a simple, easy-to-adjust two-bolt clamp with an alloy head for strength and durability.

Proves Itself Over the Miles
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The Niner RDO Seatpost looks and feels like a high-end carbon component. The post and lower head are a single piece of carbon, so there's not a lot of weight up high on the post. Fortunately Niner opted for a conventional 2-bolt seat clamp that is easy to adjust and works with all shapes of saddle rail. On the bike (I have the 27.2mm post on my Niner RLT9 Steel gravel bike) it helps with both vibration and bigger hits. It is also a great visual match for the Niner frame!

Niner Seatpost on Custom Build
One of my awesome customers sent me a photo of his custom build Niner (with the Niner RDO post) that we put together. Here it is on Mammoth Rock Trail. vdickinson@backcountry.com

Works as advertised

- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Just another review from a pleased customer. The post does flex and almost gives a softail feel to my mtn bike. I feel less fatigued and with less back pain when compared to my Thompson post (which is also a solid product). I have a size large 29er lynskey Ti hardtail. YMMV

Comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I recently added this to my Pivot 429c and it works as advertised. The seatpost is light and the slight bit of flex really makes for a more comfortable ride overall. I installed the seatpost with a small amount of carborn paste and have had no issues with it. I would definitely recommend this product.

Perfect

Light , looks great, clamping mechanics works great, actually functional as it flexes a tiny bit and absorbs some trail chatter. Perfect on my jet 9 RDO

Lives up to its reputation

I have a Niner MCR (steel hardtail), and added it last season. It does provide a nice little bit of flex, and helped to take a bit of the edge off. I am happy to have purchased it.

Awesome Seatpost!

Seatpost is great, very stiff but at the same time it gives when it needs to and absorbs a great amount of shock. Love niner equipment, wouldn't give up niner for any other brand.

Looks good, feels fine

I'm happy with this....shiny finish, holds the seat very securely. Easy to adjust the to & fro, tip and tilt with the two seatpost bolts. Your seat design pending, the seatpost bolts are long'ish, and could ride near the underside of your seat. Color options are a great touch with their products. I'm not running this seatpost extended very far, so the compliance is probably minimal. This component goes un-noticed, perhaps that is a sign it is well done. Four stars, as it is very pricey, did not come with carbon assembly grease (for that price, should have) and no stickers...

I ride my krampus to go everywhere and its amazing what difference this seat post makes. It makes staying on the saddle much more comfortable while climbing.
