Absolutely blown away

"How waterproof can my cheap fleece really be?" It was the question that started the test that has made this my favorite nikwax product. I grabbed a fleece pullover that I had sewn up using sale-rack fleece from Joanns and gave it a tuble in the Polar Proof. Two days later my fleece stayed dry as I walked through the heavy, wet PNW snow to the ski lodge. No soaking in. The snow either sloughed off or the melted leftovers beaded off. I'm a believer.

Effective

Definitely adds durable resistance. Isn’t going to turn your fleece into a rain jacket (but it isn’t advertised that way either). Solid tweek to your favorite fleece’s performance.

Amazing care for technical fleece

Using this product (in combination with Nikwax Tech Wash) keeps our fleeces in great condition. My wife and kids also love the fact that the water repellency added means you aren’t immediately running for a rain shell when the misty rain starts up. We have used this on fleece from Patagonia, North Face, REI, Columbia, and more. No issues or result differences noted across any brands.

Necessity for any winter adventurer

This is great stuff for keeping your fleeces feeling and performing at their best. I used this on a Patagonia fleece that had been put through the wringer and stunk of campfire smoke. When it came out it looked brand new, and it’s far more comfortable now wearing on long hikes. From here on out, Polar Proof will be a constant in my laundry closet.

Excellent product, I’ve used several different products from Nikwax and all are phenomenal products. All my waterproof gear is in great condition and all other outdoor gear I’ve used nikwax products with. Anyone can use nikwax all products come with easy to read instructions for various types of washing machines and garments. If you want to keep your gear in great shape nikwax is the way to go.

Ive used Nikwax forever on everything and its still my go to , waterproofer, gear cleaner, etc.. whatever i need reworked i pretty much go Nikwax and have for.... ever and thats along time.

I am so glad I discovered this product, I will not wash my fleece without it again. It revamps the fleece, making it look better and feel softer. It even adds waterproofing!
