Springy when you aren't.

After you hit the "Confirm Registration" button and fully commit yourself to that spring half you've been meaning to do, take inventory of your shoes. Most likely, they've seen some miles over the past several months, so start your training plan off with some fresh cushioning. If a responsive feel and a second-skin fit rank high when you're choosing a running shoe, the Nike LunarGlide 8 Men's Running Shoe deserves a moment or two of your attention.

Though it lacks the history of the Pegasus and Structure, the LunarGlide still delivers on Nike pedigree. In the brand's extensive line of fitness and running shoes, the LunarGlide sits firmly on the running side of things, serving up a responsive, dual-density midsole that provides subtler support than the Structure but a firmer, more energetic feel than the cushy Pegasus.

The Flyknit upper, a stretchy, sock-like synthetic that Nike's been fine-tuning for the past few years now, delivers breathable support that molds to the shape of your foot, even the lumps and bumps, and it follows a subtle V-shape, with a reassuringly narrow heel. Nike offsets the uppers' pliable nature with Flywire around the arch and instep, ensuring that key areas of your foot receive the support they need as you tire heading into the late miles of your long run.

  • Work towards your next PR in this energetic, springy running shoe
  • Stretchy uppers conform to a wide range of foot shapes
  • Responsive, dual-density midsole provides subtle support
  • Flywire along instep contributes to a secure, custom fit
  • V-shaped last secures heel and leaves room for toes

Not bad kicks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I normally get the Pegasus shoes from Nike and thought I'd give these a try. They aren't as good as the Pegasus shoes in my opinion in the comfort department. They've been very durable and I wear them everyday. Not a bad choice but my next pair will be back to the Pegasus.

Very Comfy!

Out of the box, super comfortable shoes. This Lunar Glide line is one of the few lines I run in and it awesome! But all around day to day, very great shoe. The material this shoe is made of is stretchy and conforms to your feet well. So in the office to out on the road on mile 3, this shoe does it. Has a ton of support and cushionon the sole. Style points too! Recommended for sure. If you have questions, reach out anytime.

SO Comfy.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have gone through quite a few shoes looking for what was most comfortable, these are by far better than the rest. The upper is extremely soft and flexible and were easy to wear for long days even from day 1. The sole has plenty of squish and never had any hot spots. The one downfall is the low traction, if the ground is wet, you slide around easily. I usually wear an 11 but sized up to 11.5 and was pleased i did so.

Awesome

As a frame of reference, I've run in the Lunarglide for several iterations. I also run in the Salomon Wings Pro for my trail shoe. I like a shoe with a little bit of pronation control. The lunarglide 8 is my favorite iteration. The ride is much smoother than the 6/7 and fits me better. Highly recommended if you are looking for a lightweight, flexible, yet supportive shoe.
