Miles and miles.

Jump into a local race with a girlfriend for the fun of it or lace up for your regular Saturday run with the Nike Zoom Structure 21 Running Shoe on your feet, and you'll enjoy a mix of cushioning and support whether you're logging 3.1 or 13.1. The Structure's been a loyal part of Nike's running line for well, two decades now, and though just about everything about the shoe has changed in the last twenty years, its subtle blend of support and springy Zoom Air cushioning haven't.

Made for runners who need a little extra stability in a shoe, but don't want to run with bricks on their feet, the Structure now promotes healthy biomechanics using a wider base, as well as its signature dual-density cushioning. By providing more ground contact, you have a stabler platform on which to land and push off, plus firmer EVA foam along the inside of your foot, where overpronation occurs. Along the uppers, Nike's Flymesh upper wraps around the lumps and contours of your foot for a nearly custom fit, its airy flexibility countered with supportive Flywire around the instep for security where you need it most. Inside the shoe, an inner mesh sleeve cradles your foot in a breathable "sock" that still allows your toes to stretch and splay while you run.

  • Stable running shoe is a daily driver for fitness gurus
  • 10mm drop caters to heel strikers and neutral runners
  • Flywire mesh upper with internal arch band for enhanced stability
  • Nike Zoom Air cushioning provides a responsive, springy step
  • Rubber strip along sole smooths out heel-to-toe strides

Great shoe, higher into achilles - ugh!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have worn the structure Triax for almost 15 years now. I love this shoe. The newest version feels great on the foot and I still love the seamless fabric around the toe box. However, the back of the shoe comes up higher on the heel/achilles than in the past. I actually compared it to my previous pair (Structure 19) and its visibly taller. Because of this it bumps into the back of my heel so I can't wear my no-show socks. I love the structure so much that I am willing to buy new socks that are taller (1/4 crew) because I didn't want to have to look for a new shoe.

Awesome Shoe

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My wife loves these. They hold her narrow heel well and have enough room in the toe box to not feel restricting. Upper is very comfortable and breaths really well. She uses them for shot runs and at the gym. They also look great around town.

Great for running!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I gave these shoes to my girlfriend who runs often. She likes to order at least a half size up when she wears Nikes for running/athletics. Her initial impression is that the shoe looks great and is also very comfortable for the amount of road running she does. She uses this shoe for her weekday 3-5 mile runs and has had nothing but great things to say about their support so far. She's loving this shoe!
