Why We Like The Nidecker Index Snowboard Boot
Nidecker's new flagship freeride boot, the Index Snowboard Boot is built for limitless backcountry adventures. It features the very latest Nidecker technology and dials up the stiffness for unrivaled big-mountain performance, whether we’re hiking lines off the lift or splitboarding into untouched terrain. Its asymmetrical upper conforms perfectly to our foot and calf, with flex zones for control without sacrificing comfort, while BOA’s top-of-the-line H4 Coiler brings a secure fit in seconds. Plus, we really appreciate the optimized grip in frozen terrain thanks to a premium B.F.T Vibram Approach outsole with Icetrek rubber compound.

Effectively Perfect
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 28.5 mondo
I blew out the sole on my Flow Talon boots & chose these boots as a replacement. They're comfortable, stiff, & easier to get on & off. The zipper gaiter might be a bit of a gimmick since it can keep moisture out, but it'll also keep moisture in. Warm Spring days often mean moist or wet feet & these boots can't defy sweaty feet or an immersive Spring slush puddle. I really like the wrap liner with the large velcro overlap as it's much easier than my former lace up liner. The coated Boa laces are smooth & the heelhold lace is very effective. I swapped in custom footbeds because I'm a princess & I like comfortable feet all day.

Very comfortable

I recently purchased these boots and straight out of the box they are very comfortable. I've ridden them with Union Atlas bindings and K2 antidote. They provide the right amount of stiffness and the built-in gaiter has kept my toes dry in powder. I am a big fan of the boa system and the system provides pressure where you need it and none where you don't, aka on top of your foot. The only complaint is the zipper can be annoying, but still breaking them in.
