Like walking on a cloud!
I love these shoes. I enjoyed previous models, but the v14 takes it to the next level.

Best yet
I have bought Fresh Foam NB since they first came out a decade ago. The originals were great, but the newest are even better. Extreme cushioning that lasts for years. I use these shoes for everyday use, all day long. Cushioning lasts for over 300 full days of use. Even then the tops are still in great shape, but the cushion is reduced.

A favourite for many, but just not the shoe for me
A favourite for many, but just not the shoe for me. All my runners are New Balance, I’m a big fan and advocate of this brand, I bought these to replace my fuel cell propel v4, looking for a do it all distance shoe with a bit more cushioning, however I found this model extremely hot to run in, particularly the insole seemed to super heat my feet, and found them just a bit too soft for my preferences, I couldn’t get the energy return I needed and found my knees suffered a bit as a result. That said I’m not huge fan of maximalist shoes, which this does lean a little bit towards, if your after a softer ride then they might work for you, I’d love a more responsive stripped back version of this, I guess which is my I always choose my FC propel v4s instead.

Most Comfortable
These are the softest fresh foams yet. We have been wearing the fresh foam brand since they were first introduced. Every year they get more softer and comfortable. I love the New balance fresh foam line up.

Too tight, uncomfortable.
I understand NB was trying to give the shoe more weight, etc. but these are too tight, especially in the toe. I am not sizing up either because there was discomfort caused by pressure that was likely going to cause a blister. Shame, I am a big fan of the 13’s but they are out of most colors.

So good I bought a second pair!
Having wanting a cushioned daily trainer for my volume run I thought I'd give the 1080 a go. Much to my delight was great, having just retired my Hoka Clifton 9s. Similar comfort but with a little more pop. Was so impressed I bought a second pair with the current sales and promotions.

Fresh foam x
Toe box is very narrow, can only wear them for short periods of time without socks, I don't have wide feet either. Pity because there incredibly comfortable otherwise.

Nice but....
They are very soft. Comfortable. But the heel starts to compress and collapse very quickly

After an hour it was like walking on nails
I recently purchased a pair of these shoes, and unfortunately, I had to send them back. I’ve been wearing New Balance for over a decade and out of all the shoes I’ve ever worn, I found this pair to be extremely uncomfortable. The lack of padding in the arch area allows the stitching to continually press against the inside of the foot, and for those with wide feet made them unbearable to wear for more than an hour. Something seems to have changed with New Balance, and unfortunately, these shoes were a huge disappointment.
