Vector Insulated Sleeping Pad
If your bed back home is the same tiny old twin bed propped up on cinder blocks that you first got when you moved into the dorms your freshman year of college, then Nemo Equipment's Vector Insulated Sleeping Pad will probably make you reluctant to go back to civilization after a week in the wilderness. This insulated air pad is great for temps ranging between 15- and 25-degrees and includes Nemo Equipment's space frame baffle construction to eliminate side-to-side movement for a stable and comfy night's sleep—if only those teetering cinder blocks back home could say the same. A light aluminized layer make the pad warm enough for cold winter and shoulder season outings, and the integrated foot pump makes inflating this pad a breeze.

Cold, cold, sleepless nights
- I've put it through the wringer
I really want to love this pad considering it was $180 at the time of purchase but it has failed me time and again. The first one I ordered catastrophically failed after 10 uses, and the replacement pad failed after about 50 uses on a sheeted wooden cot. The first time maybe a dozen holes occurred in the baffle seams and I was forced to patch them and wake up on the ground again and again. After about 6 patches I was like ok, I messed up and overinflated it or it got too hot or something, this is insane. Nemo has a great return policy and they promptly sent me a new one. Round 2 and things seemed to be working out OK until it failed out of nowhere just sitting on a wooden cot. It deflates very rapidly and offers no insulation once it's deflated so I spent a total of 10 nights without sleep because of tiny holes. The foot pump is a nice feature, but not a game changer, and the design is probably best for side sleepers since it is a thick and cushy mattress. However, on any kind of serious trip where your mattress is the difference between freezing and not freezing, or sleeping and not sleeping, this pad is unsuitable. I bought a Thermarest Prolite Plus as a backup mattress and it has lasted twice as long with absolutely no troubles at all. Though it's bulkier and heavier, I find it to be more comfortable and much more reliable. Pros: Ultralight and packable Reasonably quiet and warm (until it fails) Comfortable if you like soft beds Cons: Unreliable and unsuitable for extended trips (any cold weather trips at all) Uncomfortable if you like stiffer beds.

- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is so great. A backpackers dream! The foot pump is amazing and it's incredibly comfortable. You can kneel on it and well, my knees don't touch the ground. I got the wide since I'm a side sleeper and have never slept better! If you have to count ounces, then get the Tensor. Otherwise, get this one!!

Great Pad, love the foot pump
- I've put it through the wringer
This is a great pad that is super compact for how easy it is to blow up with the foot pump. It also keeps me off the ground. at 205 pounds, thats hard to do! Super warm too!
