Tensor Sleeping Pad

The Nemo Tensor Sleeping Pad is an ultralight, easily packable pad for backpacking and mountaineering in winter. It's surprisingly stable for a sub-pound pad thanks to Nemo's Spaceframe baffles, and the Thermal Mirror film reflects your body heat for boost of warmth. The included Vortex pump sack lets you pump up the bag without wasting your breath. The micro-valve stays out of the way when you're packing, and it provides easy inflation/deflation just like regular-sized valves.

Warm and quiet.

So far... Great sleeping mat. It kept me insulated and comfortable while temps were in the 40s. It's quiet and doesn't make a bunch of noise while I'm rolling around. So I'm pleased with the Nemo Alpine pad.

Great pad and shockingly durable

Well over 50 sleeps on it with several trip under me. The pad rules them all. Like anything ultralight, there’s a certain fragility to it. Keep that in mind, problem solved. Lifetime warranty, why sweat it. Keep it coming Nemo

Almost almost so good. But then a fail.

I wanted so badly to like this product. Light , comfy, compact. The baffle system seems space age compared to other brands, as does the amazing air pump bag, three full bags and the mattress is up and ready to go….. almost almost everything was perfect. Until you realise it’s made out of the flimsiest version of all of the materials out there. I haven’t had one trip without a puncture. The last trip a feather from my down sleeping bag made a hole, previously who knows but 2 punctures on the base while sleeping on snow on a foam pad. . Can’t fault the design , just the follow through on material durability. My thermarest seems bullet proof compared to my patchwork pattern nemo pad now. It’s such a shame as everything else about that bag is perfect.

they nailed it with this edition

I have had a few nemo pads. I have had a lot of friends with various versions of the pads which use a bag to blow them up. I remember the original versions were a bit janky. The idea seemed sound, but the implementation was so so. I remember my old nemo pad valve was always an issue. I had to carry an extra valve for long trips... ....I decided it was time to try the new version and I must say they knocked it out of the park. I tested it first in the controlled environment of my home. Next the mountains. It performed great and was intuitive on both counts. The new valve system is great. The bag blow up scheme is a piece of cake. The pad is super comfortable. I used it a bit over 3 weeks in the woods now. 2 weeks of which were on a big trip where I was in a bivy in cold, wet, snowy high alpine conditions. Everything worked perfect. Anyways, I can't recommend enough, really nice to be able to write such a positive review. Good job Nemo.

Great camping pad

I've had this pad for a couple years and I love it. I've always had trouble sleeping on other pads and this one is the most comfortable I've ever used. Packs down small, keeps me warm, and I enjoy the larger size as I roll around quite a bit as I sleep.

Extreme Comfort.. No leaks so far.

I have used this pad now for several nights, coldest temps were 3 degrees Fahrenheit directly on snowpack. Did not feel any cold air coming through the pad on that 3-degree night at all. I am impressed so far, will see how long it can last without a leak.

Not Warm Directly On Snow

I purchased this to replace my snow camping set up of a long Switchback foam mat paired with a short insulated Tensor mat. That combination works well on snow but I wanted to eliminate the bulk of the foam mat. I used the Alpine mat directly on snow in a four season tent with a 0 degree down bag. It was approximately 20 degrees F and I was very warm in the bag but very cold on my hips and shoulders through the mat. Yes, I had the mat sufficiently inflated and I was not touching the snow thorough the mat. Maybe Nemo didn't intend to have this mat used on snow but I would say the name "Alpine" is a little misleading. Other than the cold the mat is comfortable. Any one looking for a snow camping set up I would recommend the combination of a foam mat placed over an inflatable mat. You get the insulating properties of the foam with the comfort of the inflatable. There is also a margin of safety if your inflatable goes flat. You will be a little less comfortable but you won't freeze because you still have the foam mat.

Great Sleep Pad

Great pad… light, good R-value and not as loud as other options. I don’t wake up every time I roll over!

Kept me warm and my back comfortable.

I used this sleeping mat for 21 days straight out in the field. Definitely kept my back feeling fine, I almost didn't notice I was sleeping on frozen ground. Would definitely recommend.
