You've never slept in the backcountry like this before.

The Tensor Sleeping Pad is Nemo Equipment's lightest air pad now equipped with cutting edge insulation for backpacking from spring to fall. Nemo treated this pad with a Thermal Mirror film to reflect your body heat back to you for a surprising amount of warmth, and there's a PU coating to clean easily. Nemo's Undulating Lateral Baffles give the Tensor plenty of stability without the weight.

Great pad , easy to carry

This made such a huge difference on our camping trip. It was so comfortable sleeping on this pad, Love how this is compact and very is to pack and carry around.

Great Pad. No Crunch sound/ ultra-lite!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great pad, and crazy comfortable. I find air pads to be less than ideal for support but the Tensor fits teh bill. The no stretch baffles don't give under pressure and give the support I need. Also this pad packs down super small... Smaller than my Nalgene bottle. Im sold on this pad. Get one!

      The good:
It's so compact and lightweight! It's sturdy and rugged! After a season of heavy use, there's no real indication of wear and it stays fully inflated throughout the night. Although I do find that an hour or so after I blow it up, the material expands so if you like a firm pad you should top it off before bed. The valve locks so you can't accidentally bump it open. It's also supportive and dare-I-say, comfy.

      The meh:
It takes a while to blow up, and there's no air bag to help you out. It doesn't keep you warm at all on snow or cold nights. It's a bit slippy and a little narrow, so I often end up partially off it when I wake up (although I tend to move around a lot through the night).

Overall, the pro's strongly outweigh the meh! ...Especially considering its packed size and amazing durability. NEMO doesn't claim that this is a cold-weather pad, so you can't really blame them there after all. I'd definitely make this purchase again.

Final note is that the inside collects a lot of moisture from your breath (obviously). When you get home, hang it over a door in a warm spot in your house with the valve open so it can dry out before you store it away. Then it'll be a guaranteed trusty companion for the months of backcountry travel to come.

      Super Comfy & Compact

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only used it once so far, but I was super impressed with the comfort of this pad. It's at least 2" thick when fully inflated and it provided enough cushion that I could lay on my side without feeling the ground. It's also super packable - about the size of two cans of soda. Can't recommend highly enough!

      Super comfortable!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this to use while backpacking for a few days & slept great. It inflates pretty quickly by mouth & packs down nice & small. I actually used it while car camping over my car camping pad because I prefer the cushion of this pad.

      Very comfortable, light, and quiet!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought the 20R Mummy for my wife and I. I went with the regular since I am 5'10 and she is much shorter than I am. It's a good length. I am a stomach sleeper so my feet do hang off just a tad (unless my head is right on the upper edge), but I find this more comfortable anyway..I actually do that on my own bed at home.
The pad is extremely comfortable. The baffles spread your body weight very evenly.. it feels like a normal mattress. I love the ability to let small amounts of air out to dial in the firmness. Inflates pretty quickly by mouth, but I have a thermarest pump sack on order so it's easier after a long hike.
I was expecting this to be pretty loud just by the look of the material, however once it's pumped up and you're in your sleeping bag, it's not loud at all. Definitely won't wake me up during the night!
It packs down very small and is super lightweight. Nemo included a nice velcro strap to keep it together in the stuff sack, as well as a small repair kit should you need it. I'll always keep that with me on the trail, good features!
Overall excellent pad, very pleased with this purchase!

      This pad kills Thermarest xlite

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I don't think anybody realized that NEMO is making some really good gear. My 20 mummy pad is basically the same weight as a regular thermarest xlite, but for almost half of the price. I got it during 2015 thanksgiving sales and used this a lot this year. I inflate the pad with thermarest pump sack, it will take only a few mins. I also put this pad on logs but never have any leaking issue.
I didn't go for xlite because:
      1. It's expensive
      2. It's loud (I also have an Xtherm, which is also loud)
      3. Nemo is on sale (got the regular mummy for $89)
