Sleep anyway you please.
Shake the surly bonds of typical sleeping bags, and sleep anyway you damned well please with the Nemo Equipment Inc. Tango Solo Sleeping Bag. More of a bed than a traditional sleeping bag, the Tango Solo lets you wiggle about while you sleep, so you don't get that, "entombed for all eternity" feeling that you do with a mummy bag. The bed attaches to any 20-25 inch sleeping pad, so you won't wiggle your way onto the cold ground throughout the night. 700-fill hydrophobic down gives the bag a 30-degree temperature rating, and it will maintain insulating properties if the the bag happens to get wet. If that wasn't enough, Nemo Equipment decided to treat the 20-denier nylon fabric with a DWR finish for even more protection from the elements. To prevent the all too common ailment of sweaty feet, the bag is fitted with a waterproof, breathable footbox, so you'll remain trench foot free on all your camping trips.

Great bag, IF you have the right pad
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This Bag is super awesome IF and only if you pair it with the corresponding NEMO pad. I had tried it initially with the Sea to Summit Comfort plus insulated pad. This is a fantastic pad but did not do the job of filling the extra space left by the comforter. I was cold on a 25 degree night in Capitol Reef in March because of all the drafts let through. I got the 25 inch astro light insulated pad from NEMO and the bag now fits very snug on the sides, preventing drafts and the hood is snug as well. Ever since I got the Astro Light ( I had pro deals because of working at snowbird so all of this wasn't too expensive) my entire backpacking sleep set up has been unbelievable. I've slept in this bag down to 25 degrees wearing only boxers and a t - shirt and been snowed on in late August in the Wind River range in Wyoming and been totally fine. Granted I am a very hot sleeper but this bag is everything that I could have asked for. It's light weight, and it packs down to the size of a 1L Nalgene with an 8L compression sack. The reason i'm giving it a 4 instead of 5 is because you MUST get this with the corresponding NEMO pad or it simply won't work correctly and also because the stuff sack they give you doesn't compress the bag at all. There is a lot of extra space in it. I would recommend going to REI and picking up one of the 8L stuff sacks if you end up getting this product. They are like 20 bucks. Overall, great product with fantastic quality. If you are mainly a summer backpacker looking for light weight and compressibility and already have a 25 inch NEMO pad, it would be foolish not to buy this bag.
KILLER BAG!! Super Light and Comfortable
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
What a great bag, super light and simple to use. THis is the future of sleeping bag design. Minimal, yet full of function. It does everything a bag needs to. It keeps you very warm, packs super small, and even has a hood. For sub 2 lbs, its going to be hard to beat this bag. I really like there is no bottom. The bottom gets packed out anyway so its best to save the weight. Bike packers will love this thing!
Very light, FYI, No zipper
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
This bag doesn't have a bottom or zipper. It's only 3 sided. The description does not say this. This is more of a blanket. Your ground pad is your bottom piece. I did not know this. I'm returning this item.
Does anyone know the stuff size for this bag?
Nemo has the compressed size at 6.1 L on their website.
Does this have insulation throughout the bottom?
No, in order to shed weight NEMO has used a backless design with this option. You will need to use a sleeping pad to get that insulation and comfort.
