Why We Like The Riff 30 Sleeping Bag

Designed for side sleepers, the NEMO Equipment Riff 30 Degree Down Sleeping Bag forgoes the restrictive mummy shape for a unique, accommodating Spoon shape that gives us extra room at the elbows and knees for a comfortable night's sleep. A water-resistant, durable ripstop shell envelops lofty 800-fill power down insulation to keep you toasty in temps as low as 30-degrees, and features fluorocarbon-free, water-resistant treatment to retain that heat even after becoming wet.

The waterproof, breathable footbox keeps tent condensation at bay after you roll over into the wall in the middle of the night, and a integrated pillow pocket stashes your jacket or extra clothes to create a makeshift pillow. Thermo Gills chest zips dump excess heat in a pinch without allowing any cold drafts sneak in, and the included storage sack and stuff sack make for easy packing when you need to move on to the next campsite.

Happy wife happy life!

My wife gets cranky and claustrophobic in mummy bags. The extra room was awesome, and she was warm all night.

Extra warmth for men

I'm a 5'11 male, and this long version sleeping bag fits me perfectly. It provide extra warmth since the women's version has more down fill.

Dude in a Women's Bag

So the Riff men's regular and the women's long are the same size. The temperature rating is the difference (along with color). Women's is a comfort rating, men's is survival. I wanted a bag comfortable at 30, I tend to moto-camp early and late into the "riding season". The gills are a great touch, allowing me to use this bag throughout the summer when it gets a little warmer at night. The bag is super light and packs tight with the included compression sack, fits perfectly on my motorcycle in the soft bag panniers. Since the temp rating is slightly higher, this bag will be slightly larger than the men's version but it is minimal. After using this bag 7 nights (different locations each night so repacking camp each day) I can say that this is the best bag I have used so far.

Cozy!

Haven't yet used the bag for camping, but my first impression is that it's very roomy and cozy considering its pack size! I live in CO and I'm hoping it is warm enough for summer camping in the mountains where nighttime temps usually reach the low 30s. I like that it comes with both a stuff sack and a normal bag for long-term storage.

Great

Was not super excited about the color choices, but when I unwrapped it I was actually very impressed with the silver and yellow! Great all around.
