Same roomy comforts without the weight.

Nemo Equipment lightened the Losi LS 2P Backpacking Tent without ridding any camping comforts. Extra ridge poles expand the Losi's sidewalls to a nearly vertical angle for extra space, and Jake's Feet corner anchors lock the main poles in place for maximum space throughout your trip. Unique snaps and clips make setting up as easy as can be.

The Losi LS boasts three-season protection and comforts for warmer or wet weather, with a PU-coated fly and floor for rainy days and no-see-mesh walls for summer's hot days. Nemo added a privacy panel so passersby don't see you sleeping. This tent also features Light Pockets overhead to illuminate the interior entirely, and the included stakes, guy-out cord, repair kit and roll-up stuff sack add convenience to all your camping trips.

    Excellent durability and livable space

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Losi offers incredible "livability" for a 2 person tent of it's weight. The way Nemo designed the tent prevents it from making it feel as if the tent is collapsing upon you. There is plenty of space to sit up and roll up sleeping pads, stuff sleeping bags, and get your pack ready. The tent is wide enough to have two 25inch sleeping pads side by side with some extra space.

This tent is incredibly durable. Although I have yet to endure any extremely harsh winds, I have no fears whatsoever about it collapsing/breaking in any way. I have also never had any issues with water leaking or condensation.

I love the way the tent is packed. The tent bag they give you is subdivided for the different poles and a separate section for the tent fabrics. I never worry about not being able to pack the tent tightly.

Personally, my next backpacking tent will be lighter, as I care very much about weight (I plan on investing in the Nemo Blaze). However, if you want livable space and a tent that will stand up to anything, the Losi is a great choice.

Lastly, I find the set up incredibly intuitive. It makes for easy set-up and take down. The Jake's feet are very easy to use. What would normally be two separate main poles that go from corner to corner are actually combined into one. I have never had any issues setting up this tent on my own.

    Great for lightweight backpacking

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this pack a couple years ago as my first backpacking tent, so keep in mind that this is not compared against any other tents.

So far, it's been a complete breeze to set up and tear down, it takes me only a minute or two even in the dark to get it together, and its simplicity has been a lot more helpful than I first imagined, and has saved me many headaches.

As for the roominess, I use it as a solo tent and keep my gear next to me, and honestly the tent compresses enough in my pack to justify a two person tent anyway, so it's more than enough room for one person, although with two people, a larger footprint and actual stakes will be required to safely store gear and packs without actually sleeping with them. Otherwise, I have had no need for stakes, and the freestanding aspect has made it a lot more versatile as to where I can use it.

Build quality is average. I wouldn't say it's outstanding, and I wouldn't say it's bad. The tent it self is great, and I've had no rips, despite how thin it is. The rain fly feels a little cheaper, but hasn't caused any problems or shown any wear, so it's help up fine.

Overall, it's a great tent, and unless you're looking for absolute weight saving, it's simple enough to set up, and has extra support poles that can be left behind to save weight. Build quality is solid, and I have no complaints.

    Love this tent... BUT...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This tent is great and easy to assemble. Love it! Big problem with the rain fly though! After two years, it delaminated and became more like fly paper!!! Oy! This is terrible if you camp on sand... Nemo needs to fix this!

    Great tent

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Super light, packs up quick and small, kept us dry through a few days of rain (had a little condensation build up, but not much), and it's roomy enough for me (5'11") + 1. Feels well made and should last for a long time.

    Did we forget the tent?

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is pretty crazy how light this thing is for it's size. I thought I would use it much less frequently than I have because I started to hammock this year and have been leaving the tent at home more often, but because of how roomy and light this is it has been great for camping with a few more people than normal.

I was also concerned that with how light the nylon has to be to acheive a 4lbs weight that it might not stand the test of my drunk friends but thus far this thing has proved itself to be just a bulletproof as a tent with heavy nylon and heavier seams. Even in a super windy rain storm it held up great.

It is Super easy to set up and dry pitching is no problem. In fact the first thing I did with it was set it up in the rain in my yard. Floor of the tent was perfectly dry even though I was a bit fumbly and wasnt 100% sure how to set it up (and who is going to read directions and watch videos when your new tent is HERE NOW haha) With the light weight and small pack size it really can make you think you forgot the tent!

Killer Tent. Improved upon a classic!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had the original Losi and it has been doing awesome for me. I didnt really need the Losi LS but I am a gear head, so why not! This tent is rad. The new fabric they used seems very, very durable but WAY lighter. Almost a pound lighter than my original. You can tell big time when they are side by side. You still get everything you love about the Losi. The space, the vertical side walls, super high peak height, tons of space, with big vestibules, but now it ways 4 lbs!? This is the tent everyone should have for weekend!
