    Sweet tent

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This tent is awesome, super roomy and great ventilation. they only problem is that the fabric could be a little stronger. but all-around I've taken this tent in massive thunderstorms and Snowstorms and it's held up great. Absolutely love the desert tan, it blends in super well. All in all is a great and roomy backpacking tent. Also, all the cool little features make this tent even more rad!

    Nice value priced tent

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Not really excited about this tent. I bought it to replace a tent I really liked from Mountain hardware that was stolen, and I'm having a bit of buyers remorse. The Nemo is fast to set up, and is lightweight. The included footprint and stakes are great. The rain fly fabric feels a little thin and the zippers feel cheap. To me it is not a robust feeling shelter. But it is a lower priced tent. It takes a while playing with the stakes and tie downs to get the shape right. It does fit back in the sack nicely. It just does not wow me like I thought it would. Hopefully I'm wrong and we will get years of service from it.

    Almost perfect

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is an amazingly well built and functional tent, well worth the $187.46 I shelled out for it. It's very spacious and has room to spare at both head and feet (I'm 5'10”). This is a comfortable 2 person tent but I think it’s too heavy and its packed size too large to qualify as a true backpacking tent. I use it for car camping where weight and size are not dealbreakers so for me it’s perfect. The 2 vestibules are huge and there are adequate storage pockets inside. It’s a good tent but the Galaxi 2p does have some shortcomings. The doors are smaller compared to similar sized competitor tents but this wasn’t that much of an issue for me. My big issue was the the way the rainfly attaches to the tent poles which must first be attached to the inner tent body, which means they are already under tension. In my case I was setting up the tent in a 25 mph wind so I also had the tent staked out. To attach the rainfly I had to get the poles out of the corner grommets, attach the rainfly under the tent pole ends and then secure the poles back into the grommets. Since the whole tent was under tension this procedure was awkward to say the least. This also means that rolling back part of the rainfly to stargaze is also quite awkward. I’ve seen competitor tents that use fastex type buckles to attach the rainfly, I wish the Galaxi 2P also used this method. Anyway. Because of its excellent build and well designed, streamlined profile the tent performed extremely well in high winds after I guyed it out using all available points. If you intend to use the Galaxi 2P in the desert don’t forget you will have to deal with that fine red stuff called sand. In my case because of the high wind it was easily blown through the inner tent’s fine mesh and I woke up covered in the gritty stuff. But hey, that’s just how it is! Maybe the bathtub floor could have reached higher up the tent sides? Finally - I am quite happy with my tent and with the experience which was flawless.

    Easy to setup

Two doors, two vestibules, free standing, ground cloth included for a great price. Used it probably 20 trips, mild rain and no leaks. One person can set up the tent in a few minutes, all in all a great value backpacking tent.

Killer Update to a classic Nemo Tent

What a great tent this is. It was a great tent before but with the ndew pole structure it has increased the internal volume for no amount of added weight. Getting a Nemo quality product for $250 with a footprint!? Killer deal. Good tent for anyone needing a tent for a backpacking . trip or two a year + lots of car camping. This is the most durable tent in the Nemo line up.
