The Nemo Dagger Tent slices that balance between a backpacking-friendly weight and creature comforts for easy camping. Adding versatility, the tent's three-season protection includes a rain fly for the wet seasons and a mesh-paneled canoy for summery ventilation.

Backpacking tent for the tall.

I've put it through the wringer

I’m 6’6” and chose this tent as it offered the most length of any reasonably lightweight backpacking option. I just fit comfortably head to foot and it’s a snug fit side to side with two people on pads and gear out under the vestibules. From desert to Wasatch mountains, it has held up under a variety of weather in three seasons over five years, including snow. So, any other reviewer saying it sags too much while naming other brand alternatives is likely working for the other brand. It’s a great buy, especially now with the discount.

I loved it

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Set up was a breeze. It packs down super small and is incredibly light. I would highly recommend this tent.

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I took this tent on a backpacking trip and it was mediocre. The sidewalls caved in, which made the tent feel much smaller through the center. For the price, it seems like this should be a superior tent. I prefer the Marmot Tungsten UL.

Lightweight and roomy

I've used it several times

Nice two person tent. Packed down small. Withstood about 4 hours of steady drizzle. Not a hard rain, but constant. Nothing inside my tent got wet and I noticed no water on my gear or inside the tent. My only complaint about this tent is I wasn't a big fan of the doors with the fly on. The tent didn't vent well or allow you to stare out the door much with the fly on . Not a huge thing, but keeps this tent from getting a 5 star rating.

Big for how small it is

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently got to borrow this tent for a weekend and it was pretty cool! It packed down slightly smaller than my current MSR Hubba Hubba which already packed down to a pretty small size. Set up was very easy and it turned out to be a bit bigger than I expected, the vestibules especially were bigger than I would have guessed. I didn't end up using them but the fly also has plenty of anchor points for guy lines which can be esseintial if you'll be spending time in windy areas. Packing up was also easier than many other options out there. No need to fold it up in a particular way just stuff it all into the bag, super easy!

Favorite Tent

This tent is heavier but has more room than the Hornet. Love NEMO porducts and design.

Worth it?

I returned this product before using it

I ordered this tent to replace my Marmot Tungsten 2P. After receiving the tent I set it up in my living room and immediately noticed a rip in the mesh fabric near one of the pole attachment grommets. Did not have a chance to get this tent outside as I am returning it. I give it 3 out 5 for initial impressions minus the manufacture defect. I opted to go with the Marmot Tungsten 2P ultra light (UL) version instead. I have had fantastic luck with my original Tungsten. The tent is a beast. The UL version uses thinner materials and comes in 2 pounds lighter than the first model. Manufacture specs has the Tungsten UL coming in lighter than the Nemo Dagger by a few ounces as well.
