Change the way you look at the world.

Whether you see the glass as half empty or half full, Native Eyewear will allow you to see the world in a whole new light with the Grind Polarized Sunglasses. The vented lenses won't fog up as easily as traditional sunglasses and can be switched for other colors (sold separately) as the lighting conditions change around you. The burly Rhyno-Tuff frames are super lightweight but engineered to withstand heavy impacts and temperature extremes. The Grind also comes equipped with the Anti-Ocular Intrusion System, which is a design that keeps material from entering your eye in the event of an impact.

Like the shades - Native - Not So Much

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I like the Grind model - have had about a year now. They say the lenses are interchangeable but Native doesn't offer replacement lenses for this model. I sent them an email and aside from their auto response telling me someone would respond - they haven't. Would really like to deal with a company that provided good customer service for a change.

    Good When Discounted

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Well I just picked up my second set... if you get these heavily discounted they are worth it. A few things worth mentioning though:
    They are made in China
Their Lifetime Warranty really means, for $30 warranty processing fee we will warranty them.
My last pair I had for a couple of years and, in that time, one of the rubber nose pieces fell off and was lost and the arm inside of the rubber piece that goes above your ear broke on a climb requiring a duct tape fix.
I like the way they look and fit and just bought a second set, but would not recommend at retail price.

    Perfect sunglasses

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I am a woman with a small round face, with higher cheekbones and a steep nose bridge. I got these years ago, mostly because they were on sale, but as a field geologist I wanted a ventilating pair that kept dust and rock chips out of my eyes. These have performed beautifully, fit great, and I don't go anywhere field-related without them. The rubber around the vent has torn a bit but it does not affect the performance. I have seen other Natives and I still prefer the look and fit of these.

I got the woodgrain when it was available. The two pairs of lenses are also very durable - one quite dark and one almost clear. I was afraid to snap the lenses out for a long while because I was afraid of breaking the frame, but a cool guy in Utah helped with the first snapping and remarked and they were unusually tight even for him. So! They might be tight and you can bend them quite a lot but still will not break. Great product.

UPDATE SEP/2016: I have replaced the lenses and the frames are still doing well! I got a second pair on clearance a few months back in grey. Barring an accident, I don't think I'll ever need another pair of field glasses.

a little snug on my coconut

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

i've been wearing these shades for years now and have had but one complaint since day one, and that is that they are just barely too small for my head! For the first hour or two they feel great, they stay on my face no problem, then lenses are perfect for me with a decent polarization and on the upper part of the frame where your eyebrows are is a rubber piece with slots for bresthability. These shades a perfect crown for anyone's cranium, just keep in mind that they do run a little small, but I am aware that I do have a slightly large think tank. You can't go wrong using them for hiking, biking, running, fighting bears or just hanging around with some buds drinking a few brews. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good active pair of shades that can keep up with a sweaty lifestyle.

    woodgrain shades for trailruns

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

suitable for a medium sized dome. light and snug enough for running or whatever you get into.nose and temple pads make for better fit and no rubbing. only complaint is they are almost so light that they dont have that substance you might expect of a higher-end shade.

    Better Than The Rest

I got my husband the Grind in asphalt/blue reflex and all his other sunglasses are now collecting dust. He's tried liquid, gatorz, oakley, wileyx, you name it and now not one of them compares to his Natives. He has a larger frame face and his favorite features are the cushinol nose pads and mastoid temple grip, he's never found anything more comfortable, and the state-of-the-art venting systems make it easy for him to work in these and play just as hard without worrying about any condensation building up!! I'm so glad he's finally found a brand he can rely on, now I know what to get him for any gift-giving holiday!!

      Blown away.

I've had many pairs of Oakleys, and always thought they were the standard in glasses. Until I got a polarized set of Native Grinds in Wood/Brown. The optical quality is spectacular, the fit and finish is top notch. The nose pads, the vented lenses, and the grippy temple pads are fantastic, and I just can't put on my Oakley Fives anymore, they're just not good enough. The interchangeable lens is a great touch for here in Alaska, so you can swap lenses quickly for bright light on snow, or soft grey light, depending on your need. Highly highly recommended.

I love the sunglasses, but the bridge area is too wide for my asian nose so the nose pads don't touch my nose bridge. Any recommendations to fix this issue? I really want to keep them but will have to return if I can't resolve the fitment issue.

I have been shopping for these very...

I have been shopping for these very sunglasses and have found that they come standard with a hard case, softcase, and the sportflex lenses, is this the case the ones your selling? It doesn't seem to specify anywhere or at least I haven't found where it says it. Thanks!
