Details

Like regular topo maps, except much much better.

This National Geographic's Trails Illustrated Series of Washington Pacific West Maps lets you choose one of two maps: one of the Olympic National Park area (Mt. Olympus, Tshletshy Ridge, Hurrican Ridge, Huelsdonk Ridge, Bailey Ridge, Mt. Skokomish Wilderness, Ozette Lake, Lake Pleasant, Lake Crescent, Lake Mills, and Olympic National Forest), and one map of Mt. Rainier National Park (Mount Rainier, Eagles Roost, Cataract Valley, Mystic, Emmons Overlook, Indian Bar, Maple Creek, Snow Lake, Paradise River, Jackson and more areas). In addition to trails, campgrounds, river crossings, and points of interest, these waterproof and tear-resistant maps provide info on wilderness travel, safety, and local flora and fauna. Includes UTM grids for use with your GPS unit.

Great

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm lucky enough to call the PNW home now. But, I still need quality maps to get out and explore all the great areas up here. Definitely recommend these if you're planning a trip up here.
