Evening trail runs and early morning miles are better with our Pinnacle 4L Hydration Vest because it means staying hydrated while having easy access to snacks and small essentials on-the-go. More lightweight and breathable, but...

I purchased this vest as an 'upgrade' from my VaporHowe 4L 2.0 because it was marketed as being 20% lighter. I absolutely love my VaporHowe but the fabric is thicker and not very breathable. With the summer heat wave that most of the country is experiencing, the 20% lighter in this new version was a big selling point. It definitely does feel cooler, is more lightweight, and is more breathable, and I do love the fit; however, there is a huge design flaw with the HydraPak flask pockets that's very disappointing. Apparently the pockets are deeper than those on the VaporHowe, because as the flask empties, it sinks down into the pocket and the top of the straw no longer stays tucked into the top flap. The straw flops around everywhere and hits me in the face at times. It's SO AGGRAVATING. Never had that problem with my VaporHowe. The straw stayed tucked in until I pulled it out to drink. For my next long run, I'll have to stuff a washcloth or small towel into the bottom of the pocket so the bottle won't sink down into the too deep pocket and the straw will stay tucked in. Shouldn't have to do that for the price point of this vest.

Bouncy

The water bottles are so bouncy. I’m not sure if the size of mine was off but it is so horribly uncomfortable to wear. I sized up assuming with layers I’d need the bigger size and that was a mistake. I literally cannot wear this vest due to the bounce of the water bottles. They felt as if they were going to fly out of the vest, but most annoyingly the extended straws kept smacking me in the chin.

Great vest ... light, comfy & easily adjustable

Love the vest, bottles are easy to access, vest is light and comfortable and easily adjustable on the fly. Hope to use it on longer runs in the future, but seems to hold everything I would need.

Perfect way to get water as you go

I got this hydration vest for my first half-marathon. I tried it out two days ago on a practice run/walk and it was perfect. The two water bottles supply as much water as I need, and it was so easy to get the water from them - no need to pull the bottles out like with a fanny pack, and the "straws" are tall enough so I don't need to bend my head to get the water as I walk/run. All the pockets are terrific for gels, phone and other things. It's very lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Great vest

I love this vest. It’s lightweight and has tons of pockets. I wore it for a marathon a few weeks ago and it didn’t cause any chaffing problems.. I do wish I had went a size up though.. I was borderline medium/large measurements. Wish I had went with the large instead.

My favorite vest ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love love love this vest! It’s my second one since I literally wore the first one to death. I cried a little I don’t lie. It’s comfortable. I can shove all the gummy worms in it. And it makes me look oh so cool falling .. I mean running .. down the mountain trail.

Best so far!

Best running best I’ve had so far, and I’ve had many. Very lightweight and breathable, no chaffing so far and it’s been with me on 14+ mile trail runs in high humidity (like 98% humidity) in the northern MN forests. Plenty of pockets and the waterproof phone pocket has worked perfectly so far. There is a magnet/clip on the front strap to help hold your hydration pack tube in place (?) but it just falls off all the time and doesn’t hold anything in place. If you even bump the magnet it falls off. Nothing major as it doesn’t impact the overall functionality, but I’m not sure why they ever thought that was helpful.

Very comfortable!

This vest is great! It fits snuggly, so it doesn’t bounce or chafe. I love all of the pockets it has to carry whatever I need for those long runs. It’s very lightweight and breathable.
