Needs improvement
After all the highly rated reviews, and at this price point, I expected better. On the bright side, the bladder didn't seem sloshy, the material is really light and comfortable, and the zippered pocket accommodated my phone just fine. I also appreciated that the hidden whistle is anchored deep in one of the zippered pockets, so it doesn't bounce against anything else you put in the pocket (this happens with another vest I have, and the noise is exceedingly obnoxious). However, this vest needs some improvements: 1. There are no loops to help secure the half-liter flasks you can put in the front pockets. This is an epic fail. The flasks sink down into the pockets as they empty, making is a real pain to pull them back out to take a sip. 2. The angled pocket on the back is probably fine for poles, but terrible if you want to use it for anything else, especially something small like sunscreen--it's open at the bottom, with only a small velcro closure, so items can easily slip out. I hadn't realized this before I took it out on a run, and was glad I heard the thud of my sunscreen hitting the ground when it fell out. 3. Sizing. FWIW, I'm a 32G; sternum measures 31", bust measures 36", so I went with the Small. Should have ordered a Medium. The chest straps are very short, and at full extension, the lower one was extremely tight. So much so that I actually found it a little hard to breathe when I was running and had to release the strap on uphill segments. The straps also sit awkwardly across the chest, and need more room for adjustment vertically. 4. I was out for a long run and had a lot of extra gear and food with me, so all the back pockets were pretty full. I found that items nearer the top of the back pockets were moving around a lot, and it would be nice if there was a way to cinch down the gear storage to eliminate bounce.

AWFUL DESIGN
The vaporhowe was the BEST! I tried to find a replacement and this one does not come close. It is awful. The vaporhowe had a big bladder pocket and a big kangaroo pocket and a smaller zip pocket. The zipper pocket did not compromise the size of the big storage pocket (could easily fit a puffy and poles in the big kangaroo pouch) The pinnacle has the pocket for the bladder which is fine, but the kangaroo pocket design is awful. Instead of being a big open pocket like the vaporhowe, the pinnacle pocket is divided into 2 sections. Neither work well. The open pocket is not big enough for a jacket or layer, and to make matters worse the bottom of the pocket is OPEN! There’s a Velcro closure- I guess the idea is you can reach in from the bottom and grab something but the VELCRO DOES NOT STAY CLOSED so anything small falls out. The other side of the kangaroo pouch has a vertical zipper which is fine but neither pocket is the correct size. Poorly designed. It is the most annoying running vest I have ever tried.

Durable!
I have owned my Pinnacle vest for 2 years and have definitely put it through the test with multiple ultras - several 50 milers, a 100k, and a 100 miler. It has proven its durability. So much storage areas and various sized pockets that I can find a place for any running essential. After long runs, I just toss it in the washer therefore it has even lasted through many washing machine cycles. I am not a fan of the insulated bladder it comes with so I replace it with a regular 2L Nathan bladder - I find these to be much easier to fill and MUCH easier to clean as you can turn them inside out. No amount of insulation can survive the AZ heat so it wasn't a feature that was important or beneficial to me. A great vest overall!

Pockets galore!
This pack is comfy and holds everything I need to bring-water, gels, extra layer, small handheld water, phone, snacks-with room to spare. I rated 4/5 stars only because I wish it had additional straps to tighten it up, it has just the two across the chest, but as my water empties I’d like to pull it up a littler higher. Overall it’s great!

SO MANY POCKETS!!!
If I could give this 30 stars, I would! Have had it for about 3 months. Had a previous Nathan hydration pack that worked great for 10+ years but didn't have as many pockets as I'd like so I bought this. OH THE POCKETS!!! Soo many pockets that I'm still finding new ones 3 months later. It was truly intelligently designed so that you can reach all of your stuff while you're running. Amazing. And it fits like a glove. It doesn't bounce and doesn't chafe. It fits like a piece of clothing vs a pack. If I'd known how great this pack could be, I would have upgraded years ago.

Leaky pack
The vest had a lot of storage and fits comfortably, and I haven’t had any chaffing. However, the mouthpiece developed a hole after only two uses and now sprays water constantly whenever there’s water in the hydration pack. I asked Nathan for a replacement mouthpiece but never heard back. This is unacceptable given how expensive the vest/hydration pack was.

Amazing Features!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the storage space in this and how light it is! Additionally, the insulated feature of the bladder is a game-changer for running in the heat!! I would recommend this to anyone to add to their gear list.

Lightweight & comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this hydration vest, super cute & light weight. Of course you need to wear a shirt under to stop chaffing. I would be really awesome if in future one was made with a material to stop chaffing so it can be worn with just sports bra. Otherwise plenty of storage for yummies.

Great Hydration Vest!
Wore it once so far and it was perfect! No chaffing, plenty of pockets, super light weight, and cute! Exactly what I needed for marathon training. I just need to get used to running with the full bladder; water weighs more than I expected.
