Unintended usage

I’ve had the backpack for about a month now and I love it. It’s designed to be used as a crag pack for climbing but I use it for technical rescue gear and clothes. The side pouches are excellent for organizing everything. Couldn’t be happier.

Slow Burn

When I first got this pack I was a bit underwhelmed. The shape, the features, etc. were all a bit foreign to me having used more traditional climbing packs. Having used it a few weeks now, it has really grown on me. The things I found odd are now beginning to make sense and are actually well thought out. I never thought I would use the multiple ways of accessing the inside, yet I do...on every outing. The fat, flat shape that I found a bit unappealing is perfect for keeping the bag upright, haul bag style. I might choose a different pack if I had a mult-hour approach, but for nearby cragging and ventures to the gym, I think it's perfect.

Best pack around

I bought the pack about a month ago to replace my old beat up crag pack. This pack is perfect for bouldering to sport days. We’ll thought out design and organization, and the full zip open design is amazing. Minimizes yard saling. Only note, for better or worse, is al the webbing straps are SUPER long. Easy to cut shorter or tuck away if needed. Can’t recommend this pack enough.

My favorite crag pack yet!

I recently bought the Tower 47 to replace a haul bag-style crag bag and am very happy I did. My previous pack swallowed up a lot of gear with just enough organization to keep my snack from getting smashed by my rack but it just didn’t fit my shape very well. This is a common theme for me and a big reason I have more MR packs in regular rotation than anything else. The Tower 47 will easily carry a double rack with some extra bits plus a dozen draws, my personal kit (harness, belay, rescue), a helmet, a couple of liters of water, snacks, a guide book and a somewhat bulky first aid kit. I can hang a pair of shoes from one of the daisy chains on the outside and strap a lap coiled rope across the lid. Everything carries neatly and has a place to go and the suspension makes it comfortable to carry all day. I love how I can put it down, pull my harness out through an external zipper, open the entire bag up and out to get access to everything else I want in any order that I want it. It’s taken a few weekends of cragging to get it dialed the way I want it and I still have a bit of dead space inside that I can pack more efficiently but it’s much better than my last tube. It pairs really well with a rope tarp or maybe two rope tarps, one to open the bag up on and one for the rope. It carries a coiled rope so nicely that it has made my rope bag obsolete. I’ve added the MR Wingman MultiPocket to carry an extra liter of water since it’s been so hot lately, it makes a good spot to stash the things I want quickly that I’ll too easily put off using if it isn’t close at hand.

Interesting design

Tower 47 pack is hefty and good for tugging up with a rope when doing multipitch climb.

This bag is great!

I use this bag for guiding and it's awesome! I love that the entire bad zips open so I can easily fit a rope in the bag and access everything I need all at once rather than pulling things out one-by-one from the top. The back is very adjustable so you can size the bag to your exact torso length. The inside has two large gear loops to attach draws, etc. and there are several compartments to help keep things organized. One of the side compartments even opens from the inside and outside (I usually put my sunscreen there). The large handles on the top and side of the bag are great for lifting it. Several loops on the front for clipping extra gear on the outside of the bag if needed. I've only been using it a couple weeks but seems pretty durable so far. I'm super happy with it!

Perfect Bag

I purchased this bag about a month ago. I don’t use it for its intended purpose of rock climbing. I work for the fire department and I’m always on the go to different fire stations. This bag is great because of the amount of room and ease of accessing all of the contents. It seems extremely durable. I’m super happy with it so far.

Comfortable big stuffer. Built in burrito pocket!

I've been using this at the ice climbing park and love being able to organize all my kit in the internal pockets and then fillet it all open at the park for quick access. It's burly that I don't worry about picks or ice screws damaging it and big enough to fit extra stuff that you might not take alpine style. I'm 6' and 175lbs and the S/M fits me. Only reason for not 5 star is there's no ice tool holders on the outside.

Crag Pack

This is a great Crag pack. It is very well thought and allows for loading and unloading options. The ability to unzip the belly of the pack is incredibly convenient, quick access, and the vented pockets allow you to see contents and organization. I am able to put all of my sport climbing equipment, 3 pairs of shoes, food, water, and rope internally and if the pack is full of gear, you put your rope on the flat top and cinch it down. The pack carries well and is comfortable. I have been looking for a crag pack like this for 20 years.

Comfortable, Organized, and Spacious!

It fits so much stuff! Rope, quickdraws, double rack, two pairs of shoes, and more. The zip pouches on the foldout panel are great for everyday sport climbing gear organization. Now I don’t need to unpack or repack it ever. A couple of the strap keepers for the carry system on the front are too small, so sometimes the webbing will just be dangling, but I’m gonna fix that on my own. Also, when it is packed to capacity, it gets more difficult than other packs I’ve worked with to zip closed. Absolutely loving it overall!
