Great Pack
I bought this pack a little over a month ago and I have loved it so far! It is durable, fits well, and is easy to zip. The design is well thought out, especially the reversed buckles for carrying a snowboard or pack compression. The only gripe I have about this pack is that when you have the pack on and unzip a waist belt zipper, it is difficult to close with one hand if you zip it back. This is by all means not a big problem, but it does mean that I have to reach around and keep the material taught with one hand while I zip it closed with the other. I would bet that if the pocket is chock-full of snacks or the like, it may be easier to close with one swift zip. I really do love this pack and I will continue to use it as long as I can. Thank you Mystery Ranch for a bulletproof, well-thought-out pack!

Great backpack
Really great backpack. All the features are excellent and well thought-out. Only thing I wish was different was that I use a 320 cm probe and unfortunately it is too long for the avalanche tools pocket so I have to put it in the main compartment. Most people use probes less than 300 cm so I'm sure the majority of people won't have this problem. Long probe still fits, I just need to pack differently. Overall the pack is fantastic, very streamlined and comfortable to wear and ski with.

Well designed
Well thought out design with everything for backcountry skiing. Adjustability is incredible and a great build quality. Yet to field test it but looking forward to it.

Solid pack for shorter backcountry adventures.
I haven’t been able to use the pack, but it appears to be well made and fits my gear nicely.

Roomier than you’d expect
Totally killer bag, main compartment has wayyyyyy more room than you’d expect out of a bag this size. Sits well on the bod too.

packs well but very odd fit
i have now used this for one full season and have decided to sell and stop using it. it packs well for the size and its intended use as a resort/side country pack, but the way the pack sits on the shoulders is odd to say the least. the shoulder yoke design is WAY to wide and puts the fit of the pack in the uncomfortable category. i do like the features and how the pack carries resort gear. but the couple times I loaded with shovel and probe, the pack didnt carry the basic items i needed for a single day skin. i love Mystery Ranch and their packs, but this particular pack missed its mark.

We will see…
I have not used this pack as of yet, I bought it for an upcoming trip to Colorado where I intend to put it to some hard use. I have the upmost confidence that it will perform exceptionally well and will suit my demanding needs because I own and still use 2 Dana Design packs that I purchased back in the 90’s!!! I will update and modify my review on this pack after I put it through a few excursions.

Hi, wondering if the waist strap of the Saddle Peak can be removed. Also can the helmet pouch carry a full face motor cycle helmet.

Checking the MR sites in Taiwan and Japan, they list this pack as being 58cm tall, but here on the US site it says its 51cm. Can you help me figure out which measurement is the right one? I'm concerned mainly because I have a shorter torso, thanks!

What's the size of the bladder sleeve? Is it possible to fit a 15inch laptop in it?

Looking for a size recommendation. I have a 20.5" torso and a 34" inch waist? So I'm just beyond S/M on torso length and just below L/XL on waist length. I'm leaning toward S/M but have no frame of reference to know if this is the right decision or not.
