Gallagator 19L Backpack
Just like your favorite rain shell or trusty pair of climbing pants, the Mystery Ranch Gallagator 19L Backpack is equally at home in the mountains or the city. Offering the perfect amount of storage for a day away from home wherever you roam, this pack's got a smart design that'll make it no hassle to bring along everything you need while keeping it all within easy reach. Mystery Ranch's 3-Zip design lets you quickly reach into your pack and find what you need without having to root around from the top, while stretch-woven side pockets make it easy to bring along a water bottle or coffee thermos for the day's adventures. Compression straps pull the load in close to make heavier loads easier to manage, and a removable webbing waist-belt lends a bit of extra support on steep trails. The lightweight padded frame and breathable air-mesh back panel bring comfort wherever you go, and the hydration-compatible design quickly accommodates a reservoir so you can keep yourself well hydrated in hot weather.

Really nice backpack with a purpose
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
This bag only has 5 pockets( the main tri zip, am elastic pocket inside that, the claymore pouch, and the 2 side pockets. It is heavy duty and very light weight. Just know it is not a good backpack for lots of loose items.

Bring back the Front pack!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Not thrilled with the design choices on this pack which seem intended to make it cheaper but remove comfort and functionality of the excellent Front pack, including well-structured shoulders with good padding, daisy chains on the face of the pack, PALS webbing above the water bottle pockets (good for attaching tourniquet carriers or small external pouches), and org pockets inside the front panels for quick access to small items. Not sure what the point of compression straps is since the volume isn’t that large and the pack isn’t big enough to strap a rifle or snowshoes to. I love Mystery Ranch packs in general (three Screes rigged and loaded for different tasks, a Front in folage color as my truck bag, two sizes of Terraplane for gear hauling, a Sphinx as my go-to weekender, and a variety of smaller packs and bags) but this one is a miss. Being back the Front pack! I missed the chance to get one in coyote.
